Get the hurricane if you want the speed, the avalance is more of a digger! Stock hurricane will do about 40 to 45

Not sure the brand, but it is 30%, I am sure it is heavy on the oil, the thing makes a mess!

Thats what the shims are for, my guess is you dont have enough on the inside. or your bearings are toast or both.

One way bearing, my does the same thing, the cold causes it not to function correctly. It works fine when the motor is warm! I believe ehroof has a bandaid fix somewhere in one of these threads!
