AGGRR!!! Stupid me!

Man, that sucks! I'd like to say I've never done it but I can't!
When you set up your new governor and throttle curves you might do what I now do...normal is at least 200-300 RPM's LESS than my...

Nitro , Oil vs Neddle Setting

When upping the nitro content you needle valve(s) will have to be opened. Nitro basically carries it's own O2 with it and allows more Methenol to be introduced and burned = more power! Run times...

JR G460T vs. FUTABA GY401 ???

GY401= no drift, easy to set up, never have to mess with, holds the tail in a vice-like grip in HH.
Any JR gyro I've used from the 460 to the 5000= none of the above!

Robbe - Cuatro

Eytan, the Cuatro, while is does have Robbe's second-to-none quality going for it, is a BIG helicopter. It can swing 800mm blades. As Robbe helis have always been around 1/2 pound heavier than it's...

German made!!

My bet would be that he was flying a Robbe. They have two models out; the Nova and the SE. I fly SE's with the YS 80 and wouldn't give 'em up for any other heli on the market currently. Robust,...

governers

Seaman, the Futaba GV-1 is far and away the best governor on the market. They are simple to set up and reliable.
Before you use a governor you need two things: 1) a good basic set of throttle...

controlling rapid descents

Seaman, it sounds to me from your description that you might be pulling out too much throttle and letting the M/R speed decay to a point where you need to get full throttle to break the decent! Try...

Why do I have a flat throttle curve? Now this is weird...

That's an easy one...your're running a pipe! Short of a GV-1 a pipe is the best RPM governor you can get! When you use a pipe you need to think in terms of Barrel (as in throttle barrel) Opening. ...

Heli Engine Problem. Anyone?

What M/A Minipipe? If you mean the upswept type header and hot dog muffler you might try some 15% fuel. That or get a simple Hatori (or clone) 60 sized muffler and keep the 30%. It sounds like the...

Gyro Question - Put my mind at rest
