RE: Homelite 25cc cylinder hole.

Yep, use a 10-32. A 8-32 will push through the cyl. wall pretty easy. Trust me.

RE: Lathe for conversions

Just trying to get an idea of how stout these bench mills are. I'd love a Bridgeport, but just can't just can't justify the cost nor have the space. Of course if I ran across a...

RE: Lathe for conversions

After 8 years being out of the machine shop, the itch finally got to me and I've decided to get a milling machine this year. I'm looking at this Enco bench mill but wanted to hear from some of you...

RE: I cant get my engine to start

I worked on a Chinese 25cc a few weeks ago with the same problem. I checked fuel lines, carb, plug, ign. timing, even swapped out the ign. battery and then the carb. Finally, I swapped out the...

Walbro WYJ-315A

Does anyone have an old Walbro WYJ-315A laying around? This is a barrel type carb on an Echo 25.4 timmer. The throttle arm is broken off mine and I need it to remain a trimmer for a little longer! ...

Porting tips?

Can some of you engine guru's give me some tips on porting an engine? Not any particular engine, just some ideas and principles. I ruined a perfectly good echo by following some instructions I...

Does anyone have a cowl for a x100, or know where I can buy one?. They are backordered on Horizon's site, and the plane's discontinued.

RE: Weed Wacker engines...

I've done a couple, and have come to the conclusion that if you can make your own parts (prop hub, muffler, mounts), you can save money. If you enjoy tinkering with engines, you'll have fun. But...

RE: Echo help

I just converted an Echo-seems to be a great engine. Mine is a 25 or 26cc so I don't know if the crank is the same or not. The hardest part is the prop hub-I made my own on my lathe. It has 8mm...

??? echo engine question

I have an echo conversion that I think is a 25cc (measured bore x stroke) with a cdi ignition and an 11mm walbro carb. I'm getting 8600rpm with an APC 14x6 and 8000 with a Topflight 14x8. I know...

Yeah, I did the same thing with the plugs on mine. I just left them unplugged and it flies fine. Never used the act anyhow.

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D Part II - Thread Continuation

Anyone? I thought I read somewhere around 5 3/4 inches back, but want to make sure before I move it and then have to land it on it's tail.

RE: new to planes

I'd go with the nexstar. I started on a supercub, but I had zero RC experience. You'll be bored with it after a couple of flights. Plus, the supercub doesn't like rough ground.
