RE: Video: Savage bash

He helped me make a lot of vids of my R/C's, so I thought I should return the favor. He drives like a madman! There is one clip in there that is about 2:30 long that I was trying to cut down, but he...

RE: SavageXl Spider 5.9

1) Sell the Integy crap on Ebay BEFORE it get's destroyed!
2) Use the money to buy a better engine (Picco .28, LRP .28, LRP .30)
3) Forget about the two cylinder .36

RE: big bore shocks ?

Those look like hot bodies shocks. Bent shafts are common with those, especially if you set the pre-load too low. Just buy some stock plastic shocks an Ebay for about $10 for 4, you will be better...

RE: Gearing

The MOABS are too heavy. Even if you can get them geared properly, you will have a hard time getting the brakes to slow the truck down due to the excessive rotating mass. I would try a 52 tooth spur...

RE: I destroy my Savage, now what???

The Savage is the toughest R/C monster truck hands down. Anybody who says it's not better put up examples of tougher trucks and videos to prove their toughness. Nothing made buy Traxxas even comes...

RE: Savage Flux

Wicked pics! I had a FLUX for 3weeks and then sold it because I got a big speeding ticket! lol. I liked the torque, but didn't like being limited to 30 min run times and didn't want to invest a lot...

RE: Tower hobbies International Savings

You can only use the codes that are sent to your email address. I think they got wise to people sharing codes on forums.

RE: Another body...

The Xciter is WAY to small for an XL! I bought one for my 1"+6mm IRC extended savage and it was short and looked like *****, so I sold it to my friend.

RE: New engine for xl

I just installed one of these. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXFUD3&P=7 Your one way bearing should last longer if you use one of these.

RE: 2 New Savage Flux Videos

The best FLUX vids I've seen yet! Nice editing! What program do you use to edit your vids?

I love the HPI bodies, but they are too thin and get torn up pretty quickly. I found a way to make...

RE: 4S killed my flux

The drive cup and shaft were more than likely weakened while you were still using 6S. Trying to keep a Traxxas truck in one piece is a big challenge. My Revo is for sale because I'm tired of dumping...

RE: Just got back into the hobby *updated PICS*

Just a heads up for you. You are probably going to bend a shock shaft on the aluminum shocks with the springs compressed that much. The springs aren't going to want to compress and the force from a...

RE: Another 5.9 bites the dirt, Which motor would you get next?

Once an engine is tuned well, it should start in 1 or 2 pulls after priming. I would recommend getting a primer bulb though so you don't have to prime the engine by pulling the cord with your finger...

RE: Thanks HPI

5.9's are still going for $170+ on Ebay. Not everyone knows that they are sub-par engines. Some people still think bigger means better. Nitro engine performance is related more to the # of ports and...

RE: Thanks HPI

Sell the new 5.9 on Ebay and get a Picco .28 or LRP .30. The 5.9 is known for running hot and self destructing. It also doesn't make as much power as the other 2 engines I mentioned.

RE: dual fiberglass or dual steel brake

Yup. Leather is a great choice for friction material. I have a set of the XL red brakes on the way. Hopefully they slow down my 40 series Masher's a little quicker than the Dual stainless set.
