RE: Blade 400 Hover Issue

It is because of the force from the tail rotor. The tail rotor is below the plane of the main rotors so it causes a leverage effect. This is normal with all helicopters with a tail rotor located...

RE: BoomTownHobbies needs for test pilots again. MCX, S300

Hi Bad400,

You will need a micro size heli for this to work. The 5#10 is too large of a heli for this grapple. The rotor size should be around 180-210mm. Besides the rescue pieces being a little...

For 2010 BoomTownHobbies has a new product called the Heli-grapple micro. This kit comes with a small grappling hook, coupling and 3 rescue items (small, medium...

RE: Best Place To Order CX2 Blades?

What type of modifaction did you have to do to get the Ultra Flex skids to fit? I have not seem the Jet Ranger body up close yet. I am glad you do like our skids. They are one of our most popular...

RE: Best Place To Order CX2 Blades?

rumotech,

Are you sure you ordered from us? 16 days to receive your package is a long time if you are in the U.S. But if it came from us it should have a date stamp on the package that will...

That is not true. We ship all orders on or before the next business day. Maybe it took almost two weeks to get there???

RE: Lipo Fire.....

Most fires happen during charging and from charging the battery incorrectly. I have never heard of anyone having a fire charging a Blade CX battery however I have had one go up in smoke during...

RE: Blade 400 takes off to fast.. Horizon thinks is normal

I am going to say that is NOT normal and there could be a problem. You should be able to lift off the ground nice and smooth. It almost sounds like you have a linkage sticking or binding then it is...

RE: Blade 400

If it is a Trex 450 it will require the same space as a B400. They are the same size. If you have a Trex 600 then that is a whole different story. The amount of space needed to fly a 600 compared to...

RE: Struggling with Single Rotor basics

Solo,

I was kidding a little too about the baseball diamond but the realitiy is a Trex 450 needs a lot of room and a decent figure 8 can take up half a football field. The HBK2 is smaller than...

RE: Xtreme Boom Tail Motor on CX2

I would not wire it off a motor. Here is a thought. You can buy a set of easy lights which are controlled by the 5 channel and then see if you can tap the motor into the led circuit. Hmmm. Then you...

RE: Struggling with Single Rotor basics

Solo,

The figure 8 will require a fairly large space like a baseball diamond.

I have a T-rex 450, King2, and a CP Pro. The 450 is easier to fly compared to the K2, but the K2 is easier...

RE: Struggling with Single Rotor basics

A tip I might give to someone reading this who is learning a tail rotor heli is to use Newton's first law, an object in motion continues in motion with the same speed and in the same direction unless...

RE: Xtreme Boom Tail Motor on CX2

The receiver has a 5 volt source on the 5th channel. Assuming the motor does not draw that much current and can handle 5 volts it could be easy to hook up. The caution would be to not draw to much...

RE: another factory sealed outer shaft bent BCX

When ever I install new shafts first I will check them to make sure they are true. I do this by installing them into a drill that has a good true chuck. A good spin in the grill will show me how...

RE: dialed heli doesn't like Xtreme blades/grips..why?

I would first check to make sure the flybar is able to pivot freely with the new grips. If there is any bind at all it can cause TBE.

RE: Newbie Questions??? CX2 vs. Lama XRB

I think there is some confusion here. A lama XRB is a lot more expensive than a Blade CX2. A Lama V3 or V4 is a lot less expensive than a CX2. You can buy 3 Lama V4's for the price of one Lama XRB....

RE: Blade CX folding blade big problems

I cropped one of your pictures and circled the problem area. Normally the swash plate does not look like that. It has become seperated. A seperated swash plate will casue random control.

RE: Blade CX folding blade big problems

From the description of your problem is sounds like you have a seperated swash plate which will cause unknown and random control just like you described.
