For what it is worth.

I've never used any of the GWS receivers, and only own one micro receiver, so you may want to take this lightly. The one micro receiver I own is a FMA M5 that I got for $30 when they had the...

Waco 30 From Hobby people question

Thanks for the report. Sounds like an excellent combo. I really don't think unlimited vertical would be appropriate on a waco anyway. ;)
I love that 4 stroke sound too. The bigger prop looks...

Waco 30 From Hobby people question

Hi. I have the Waco with a Saito 30 in it. It flies fine that way, but is certainly not over powered, probably pretty scale like.

A 40 4stroke would be very nice in it I imagine. I've wanted...

Any pics of the GP p-38

Hi. I've been looking at the Great Planes P-38. Might pick one up when I'm back in the States later this month.

The plane really looks like an easy build. Anyone got any pictures of the build...

60 size P40 ARF by Sportsman Aviation for $200?

I have a Saito .30 four stroke on mine. It is enough power to fly it very scale like. It balances OK with the battery up against the fuel tank and some reinforcing around the front gear ( make sure...

That was scary!

Yes, they are amazingly maneuverable. The most maneuverable plane I own with the exception of my pbf. The wing loading on the DD with an OS 32SX is unbelievably low.

No risk of the wing coming...

That was scary!

I took my DD out to the field Sunday. It scared the hell out of me. Normally it flies beautifully, easy to launch, fly, and land. It is extremely light with an OS 32SX mounted on it.
The first...

Build your own PBF (Pizza Box Flyer, Flying Pizza Box)

Well, the pbf has made it to Japan. I took one out to the local field today. No one, including myself, believed the thing would fly very well. Needless to say everyone was amazed. Next week their...

Best 40 sized War Bird

Hirobo P-47N, Zero, or P-51 ARC! Looks very scale, great vertical with a Saito 56, and lands like a trainer. All balsa construction and balsa sheeted. Built up and sheeted tail surfaces. Scale...

WM Dago Red Mustang

I believe I can confirm it. I think I was mistaken. Oops. There are so many planes re-labeled and sold under a different name it is easy to get confused. Sorry.

They aren't all this easy, are they?

Thanks for the replies. I figured this couldn't be standard behavior. The plane looks pretty scale (scale location of tail wheel, balsa sheeting, built up and sheeted tail surfaces, etc.. ) but I'm...

They aren't all this easy, are they?

I've been flying my Hirobo P-47N for the last two months. Many things about it have really surprised me.

First the quality of the ARC was unbelievable. The hand carved fillets along the wing...

how can they be stopped?

WOW! I take it someone around here likes making rules and ensuring they are obeyed.

My thoughts on the matter. The world needs all kinds of people. Some like to tell others what to do, and some...

how can they be stopped?

Actually the problem has pretty much been resolved. No one wanted the rules but him. We all ignored him. He has gone away. He shows up once in a while, but he is pretty much left isolated. It...

how can they be stopped?

I'm the only non-Japanese in my group.

Everyone is really laid-back. Except for the incipient field Nazi. Thankfully he seems to be hanging out more at a different field.

We have a great...

40 Size SCALE Warbirds

I'd strongly recommend the Hirobo P-47N. It is a beautiful ARC. All balsa and balsa sheeted. Event he tail feathers are built up and sheeted.

It doesn't come with much hardware. You are...

Hirobo Sukhoi 31M

I haven't seen the manual, but i have a number of them flying. One guy at our field flies one regularly. It seems very well behaved and quite acrobatic.

The quality of the kit seemed top-notch...

.30 Waco question

I have had one for a while now. I put a Saito .30 in it. It flies very scale with it, no un-limited vertical. Great sound with the little Saito. The sound matches the plane perfectly. A low-pass...

Toughest Plane Alive

Hi. Yes I enjoy my Waco a lot. I got it on sale for $119. It is small and fits easily in my Honda Civic without removing the wings. I put a Saito 30 in it. It flies very scale like with it, and...

how can they be stopped?

What we do, is jsut ignore the rule sheet as best we can. It is there, and the feeling has changed, but we are pretty much resigned to it now. Perhaps the most effective solution is to just ignore...

Guys let's try and keep this discussion respectful. It should be possible to discuss organization and rules without insults.

The desire to enforce or create rules has very little to do with...

how can they be stopped?

We are getting pretty off-topic, but it is related. I firmly believe the AMA should get out of the insurance business. It should only negotiate with a number of different providers, and then let...

We were actually all happy to get the frequency board. Usually there are no more than 4 of us at the field at a time, and almost all of us have different frequencies, but it certainly does no harm...

10 years without an accident. Wow!

Actually, I assume you mean without an injury. Without an accident would be impossible. The last fun fly/show I went to, the All Japan RC Show, which by the...
