RE: The better basher

Well, I know that almost everyone said I should get the Hyper 7, but I just got an offer for a used, and highly upgraded 9.5 MBX. Here are the stats. I may just have to get this, at $400 including...

RE: The better basher

Well! It seems like it is almost exclusively the Hyper 7. And I just realized, I did not mention that I am looking to buy a car that is priced in the mid-$400's. The Lightning is a bit too expensive...

The better basher

Hello everyone,
I am researching which car I would like to get, and I am stuck between three cars; the Ofna 9.5 MBX RTR, the Ofna Hyper 7 PBS RTR, and the GS Storm RTR Plus. I will be doing almost...

RE: Best sub-$500 1/8 scale buggy (preferably RTR)

Wow... Every post is making it even harder to decide. Everything is so tempting!! Sanka, the Storm RTR Plus is a great find. And Memopad, that is a wonderful offer. I will have to think this over a...

RE: Best sub-$500 1/8 scale buggy (preferably RTR)

You can get the 9.5 cheaper than the Hyper? I thought it was more expensive.

RE: Best sub-$500 1/8 scale buggy (preferably RTR)

Wow, I just came across a wonderful looking car, and it is RTR. Well, actually it is not a car; it is an MT. It is the Traxxas Revo. I have been wondering if an MT would be better suited to me...

RE: Best sub-$500 1/8 scale buggy (preferably RTR)

Hm... At $440, the Hyper 7 is looking more and more plausible. Thanks for that interesting bit of info. Oh, and RoyG, I know that RTR's are not usually the best options, but I don't have the time to...

RE: Best sub-$500 1/8 scale buggy (preferably RTR)

Hey everyone,
Thanks for all of the replies! Sorry I took so long to reply, but I was gone for the week. My school had October break. Currently, I am tallying up the scores for the individual cars,...

Best sub-$500 1/8 scale buggy (preferably RTR)

Hey everyone,
I am looking for a 1/8 buggy that is less than $500. I have done a lot of research, but have found many complaints of issues with most of the cars I have considered. I have also found...

RE: newbie to rc need help

They are right about saving up. I am also 14, and I have about $1000 put into R/C Planes. I am about to get a buggy as well. Just save for a while, do some extra work, and research your options for...

RE: Next step up in wings

I was checking out combat wings, but they all require higher lift than most of the slopes near me can generate steadily. I am going for a Weasel Pro; I like the small size, and it flies in lighter...

RE: How to cut EPP?

Thanks thojo! I used an L-shaped wire heated with a candle last night, but it was so slow that I only got the battery bay done. The idea for putting it in the soldering iron is great.

RE: Next step up in wings

It seems as though they only have crunchies or glass planes. I don't trust myself with one of those yet.

RE: Next step up in wings

Thanks for the recommendation, but I've decided to go for a Weasel Pro, which is a dedicated sloper. It is smaller, lighter and fits my needs. I have had so much fun sloping that I figured that I...

How to cut EPP?

Hey everyone,
The next wing I get is going to be made out of solid EPP. I want to learn how to make the cuts for the servo and receiver bays the best way. When I made these cuts for my 400X, I just...

RE: How about some serious power!!

Hey guys,
You seem like experience SuperFly-E pilots, so I have a question for you. How does it glide? I want to get a small, aerobatic plane that is not as fast as a Zagi 400X, yet I want to be...

Next step up in wings

Hey everyone,
I just temporarily retired my Zagi 400X until I can find new wing cores for it. I am going to Monterey, CA in about 3 weeks, and I need a new plane for sloping. The problem is, I...

RE: Why can't I fly?

I didn't have much luck with my first plane. A Piecetech, er, um, Megatech Merlin. Then I moved on to a Zagi 400X... Much better. Now I have it modded so much that it is a different plane....

RE: edf epp plane?

I found one plane over on R/C Groups that is made of fan fold foam (bluecor), and is an edf. Not as strong as epp, but it is supposed to be a great plane; it has inspired one thread that got so long...

RE: Why can't I fly?

Also, check the trim tabs. You may have knocked one back to full up trim, and that could be stalling the plane. You can also try moving the battery forward in the compartment.

RE: Superflea

David was telling me about the EDF. Sounds great. I think that when you're building the Superfly-e in the puller config, you can modify the gearbox to allow the motor to spin in the direction it was...

RE: Superflea

BobbyGee,
What setup is your Superfly in? Pusher or puller? I'm going to get one soon, and I'll probably set it up in the puller config.

RE: Why can't I fly?

I recommend that you get FMS (Flying Model Simulator, fms.pathbot.com). It's free, and is a great way to practice. Try setting up FMS to be compatible with your radio system. Also, don't be...

RE: edf epp plane?

Great. I didn't really want to have to buy a new receiver. I've got a relatively aerobatice Zagi, but that is because of all of the mods I've done. Coroplast elevons and winglets, servo savers, and a...
