RE: u-can-do 60

Thanks Barry for your reply. Since the fuel tank is already installed on the center of gravity-first I'll try to see if this works. If not I will have to move the fuel tank. Thanks again.

I am installing a Saito 125 in my DO 60 without a pump and have the fuel tank on the center of gravity. Do I need a pump if the tank is installed on the center of gravity and is this too much power...

RE: u-can-do 60

I used the Sullivan No. S860 tail wheel bracket and the Sullivan 1 1/4" metal hub tail wheel. This helps keep the stress off the rudder when I land hard.;) I cut out about 1/2 inch balsa from the...

RE: GP Patty Wagstaff - Building & Flying

VFR Pilot, I only use a 22x8 wood prop on my Patty. Tried a 22x10 but I get faster unlimited vertical with the 22x8. More RPM's with the 22x8. I have exactly 100 flights on my Patty but I 'm not...

RE: Customizing a 12x6x6 foot enclosed trailer for RC planes and helis

Gentleman, the trailer that I was customizing is over. My loving wife of 40 years passed about a month ago after losing a long battle with cancer. The trailer is not finished and any reasonable...

RE: GP Patty Wagstaff - Building & Flying

Patty should be able to handle the 60cc size engine. If you remember on the other Patty thread, some guy in Europe installed a turboprop in Patty and her structure handled that load. As someone...

RE: GP Patty Wagstaff - Building & Flying

Pinning CA hinges will not prevent the hinges from breaking clean at the flex point. I used Robarts 3/16 hinge points and installed them with 15 minute two part epoxy. I also scuffed the hinge...

RE: GP Patty Wagstaff - Building & Flying

Baker, I'll tell you why. The Fuji 64 is 5.7 lbs, the DA 50 is 3.1lbs and the BME 50 is 3.4lbs and all about the same HP swinging a 22x10. Let's be honest Baker, if you had a choice which engine...

RE: GP Patty Wagstaff - Building & Flying

The Zenoah G62 is too heavy for the Patty. Patty is an aerobatic plane and these engines hinder Patty's performance considerably. This subject has been discussed a million times. Please invest some...

RE: Wagstaff Extra 300

Call Great Planes and complain. They may send you a new plane. Of course you would have to send the one you have back to them. Try it, all they can say is no.

RE: GP Patty Wagstaff - Building & Flying

The other day I lost my Cermark 4" aluminum spinner. Seems the bolt just broke in flight. I guess it was torqued down too much. Is there a rule of thumb on how much to torque down the spinner bolt?...
