RE: HL SPEEDY GLIDER

I've got one new in the box if you are interested. It would be my second. Flies well, not a hot liner. It was part of my learning curve. Bought the second one did not get around to building it before...

RE: the simple flying pleasure of a 2M R/E glider

I recently had my hands on the controls of a friends 2M sailplane, rudder and elevator only. No ailerons or spoilers. I was told that in the case of this design, ailerons would have added unwanted...

Well, the prop of choice turns out to be a 9x6.

RE: Takara prop choice.

p3990013, you are correct. I was looking for a starting point. It turns out that a lot of fliers use a prop that comes with an ARF or suggested prop and they have no idea if another size would better...

RE: Takara prop choice.

I'm going to try a 9x6 for my first prop and test how much it loads up the motor. I've found that prop choice is hard to get help with other than a standard setup that come with a prop. I guess I'm...

RE: How do you afford it?

My first two planes were literately dumped on me because the owners bought ARF's and could barley complete them and fixing them was out of the question. I have an electric glider that looks like it's...

Takara prop choice.

Just bought a Takara at the Phoenix show and want to finish it with stuff I can pull out of my gliders and things I have around. I have an AXI 2212/20 and wonder where I should start with a prop....

RE: ARF - RTF question

For you more experienced fliers what do you think of the cost difference between an ARF/RTF/PNP vs kit building. It looks like the one compromise is accepting the choice of bits and pieces supplied.

ARF - RTF question

I'm looking at an ARF plane that is called a PNP, an E-Flite mini ultra stick that is about $219. For me it look like buying one of these setups might just be cheaper in parts than building a kit and...

RE: Realflight G3.5 airplane editing question

Have you tried moving the controls in the selection grid? Maybe it only works for the standard setup.

In real life does the "Shuriken 60 Sloper" even exist.

RE: Spinners

Maybe it would not be too expensive to build up a wind tunnel. At least most model airplanes are smaller than the models used in the aerospace industry for such testing. You'd only have to make the...

RE: Busted my tail

I used some gap filling CA and glued the tail back on. Then did several additional coats being careful to wipe of the excess and it worked. After several launches the tail is still there. This CA...

RE: Spinners

Is anyone using corn starch or other powder to track flow separation?

Combatpigg, your comment is well taken. By spraying a water based paint on the spinner and prop we discovered the gap...

I am happy that all you experienced fliers are patient with new fliers. Also I like the idea of these pursuits or hobbies where everyone gets along. Most appear to be interested in what you have to...

RE: Spinners

Air through a while in a high pressure area is free air in most aerodynamic shapes. A friend and I have been experimenting with a Hobby Lobby F5B Tiger which comes with such a spinner and we also...

RE: Defective leaning

All these comments point back to my idea that I'm a defective learner. I just seemed to be out of step with that Falcon. I let everyone else fly it and the aid it performed just like it should. The...

Is putting a whole through a spinner a better way to cool an electric motor than adding some kind of inlet behind the spinner?[X(]

I'm the defective one not the Falcon 56. I just had problems with the slow response and my lack of skill. Changing to an electric glider is going to be my next step. I had an instructor that got me...
