I agree...I don't have any Redcat products but did have an Exceed Forza . Everyone has their opinion but also consider what your local hobby shop carries. Its no fun waiting for mail order parts.

I had that issue before on my Thunder tiger XXT not sure how long your tires have been bonding with the glue but I was able to boil mine and remove them. At the time I was using Duratrax tire glue.

There's plenty to choose from have you looked at Mamba Castle Creations? Or another route is going on Ebay and finding a used Traxxas brushless system. They are good and reliable.

I am not sure what type of battery you are using. Have you tried running a battery with a higher MAH rating? In regards to inexpensive I would say Exceed or Redcat are pretty decent entry level...
