RE: Precision Eagle 4.2 Performance Question

I have two Precision Eagle 4.2 engines and they look nothing like that. Both of mine are anodized in red and the pickup is completely covered. It may be that yours is older or a different engine. I'm...

RE: Jack Stafford Models Announces Closing

I also enjoy scale aircraft. The fun fly, profile, funtana types do nothing for me but I will tell you that even though an ugly stick is not much to look at, it is fun to fly and beat around the sky...

RE: Jack Stafford Models Announces Closing

I have to disagree with you on one point. I have a "Pilot" Super Decathlon and the quality is second to none not to mention that it is one of the most "scale" looking Decathlons out there. The...

RE: game commander

You can, in fact, use the realflight G2 controller as that's what I'm using for AFPD and it works great! Just make sure the usb interface cable from Ikarus is plugged into your computer at the same...

RE: Full scale hovering

I know it's been a while since you posted that and you are, in fact, correct about all that info. There is one thing that is not correct though. Wayne Handleys' turbo ravens' variable pitch control...

Byron T-6

Hey, I'll trade you 75% finished Hanger 9 95% cessna 182 Arf plus a very very good Duraplane 3 ch. trainer. It's an awesome plane to fly! You'd get all this in trade for the Byron plus you give me...

Using an RC tach on a full-scale aircraft

Absolutely William.
You have obviously done this before and are familiar with this tried and true method. Now if only we could get other people to think the way we do, they wouldn't have to ask...

Tach a full scale airplane

Look, the best way to tach a full scale airplane is to wrap and secure a heavy duty linked chain around your waist that's welded to a long solid metal rod (about 4 feet by 1 1/2" thick). You then...

Help with Stearman Project

If anyone is still interested in a 1/4 scale Stearman Pt17 and Superstearman, my friend Bill Stevic owns Bob Dively Models in NJ. He has about the most scale Stearman out there. The plans are taken...

Snowbirds Tutor

Does anyone know if a radio controlled version (in any scale) of the Tutor jet flown by the Canadian Snowbirds exists? I think this is a nice looking jet and would be something different and and a...

Another term that seems to be used in a lot of different ways is "snap". I love when people say "I slowed down the plane to land and it snapped on me and crashed". Or "I was flying straight and...

ultimate

The Ultimate bipe is very stable as well. It also lands like a trainer. It's a solid choice to get into 3D with. Just remember that, no matter what you choose, every plane flies differently. Even...

Torque roll hovering in G2

I'm not crazy about any of the torque rolling planes currently that I have seen for G2. I don't think thier that realistic, so I decided to start making my own. I have a 40% Pitts that I made set up...

Byron 28% Extra 300

Has anybody flown the 28% Byron Extra 300? If so, how does handle and with what engine? Thinking about getting one for scale aerobatic flying.

Aerobatic Aicraft

I'd have to say from what I've seen and flown that Extra is the most stable. I flew a 33% Carden and it flew like it was on rails yet landed like a trainer. Nothing flies like an Extra. Also my other...

60 size Airplane

I agree with AeroDave. You have to set the plane up right but the good part is that the bigger you go, the better they fly.
Good Luck
