RE: Help me stealth my Savage SS!!!!!

RE: Help me stealth my Savage SS!!!!!

For the beadlocks, the manufacturer's website is Maximizer Products.

I really like the idea of gunmetal...

RE: Help me stealth my Savage SS!!!!!

I want to do something to set the fender flares/trim and the hood scoop out from the rest, but at the same time not take away from the overall black look of the truck. Something to barely...

RE: Help me stealth my Savage SS!!!!!

I don't really drive my truck at night, but while at the hobby shop today I found a graphite (actually it looks a lot like black carbon fiber) HPI sticker that looked really sweet. I'm gonna check...

Help me find the best replacement spur gear for Savage SS

Well, I've stripped my stock 49T stock spur gear on my Savage SS (my guess is it was not meshing correctly). I know there are metal spur gears and plastic, and subcategories of each with different...

RE: Savage pullstart locked up so I'm cleaning it...nasty stuff!!

Here's a pic of the bowl of nitro fuel after pulling the cord for about 2 minutes. The bowl was completely clean and there were no particles in the nitro fuel to begin with, of course.

There's...

Savage pullstart locked up so I'm cleaning it...nasty stuff!!

My Savege SS was muddy and grimy after a day of bashing, so when i got home I sprayed it down with WD-40 and proceeded to blow it off with a compressor. I inadvertently blew a bunch of dirt down in...

Savage SS not hitting 2nd gear: Normal at first?

I've done all the break in procedures for my Savage SS properly, and today I moved the high speed needle from 4.5 turns out to 3 turns out, as stated in the S-25 engine manual. Today I ran my first...

RE: Required "starter kit" for Savage SS

You'll need threadlock, tire glue, and more glow plugs than the one that comes in the box (my LHS recommended the O.S. A-3 plugs).

Also pick up some after-run oil, and be sure to have a couple...

RE: Savage SS owners

Get threadlock, you'll need it.

Also, get a couple of extra glow plugs because break-in tends to eat up glow plugs.

RE: showing off my SS...

Wow, that thing's a powerhouse. Does the savage require any modification for the servo to fit? I can't tell if it's sized different than other servos of smaller torque ratings.

Also, I plan to...

RE: showing off my SS...

What is the model number of the Airtronics servo? Also, is it sized like most other servos, or does the savage have to be modified in some way to accomodate it?

BTW, nice SS!!

Gotcha. Everything makes sense, except that I don't know how much closed the slide carb has to be to make the engine idle (wheels dont spin at all, or very very very slowly). Should I elongate the...
