Bay Area CA Flyers: Auction this weekend!

Fellow flyers around the Bay:

Looks like it's going to be raining this Saturday unfortunately for those with plans to fly, so I figured I'd post this in case anyone interested had not seen it in...

RE: Certain AFPD downloaded planes not showing?

Hi Rajul and Arthur,

Looking back at my original post, I don't think I made it too clear; sorry about that! What Arthur posted was correct, these certain aircraft were not being installed into...

RE: Certain AFPD downloaded planes not showing?

Hi Rajul,

Thanks for the quick reply! That's a very clear list, however I actually do not use one of those AFPD installers, but what I meant was the .EXE files for the newer models which do...

Certain AFPD downloaded planes not showing?

Hello AFPD Gurus:D

I've been trying to download some more AFPD models from RC-Sim.de, and up until now have not had any problems. However, I recently attempted to download the new Embraer...

RE: B-29

Sorry about not giving any input on the how to, but, where did you get the B-29 with the X1(free dl?)? Looks neat.

Thanks!

RE: Micro Video Camera

Hi everyone,

I just finished watching Gordon's Pin Cushon video and Doug's onboard video, and I have to say I am impressed! This has inspired me to want to try one of these CVS cameras myself....

RE: Post editing

Thanks for the responses guys! I went through some posts and found all the older ones to be un-editable. I definitely understand the continuity issue in it, but I made a post with some incorrect info...

Post editing

Hi everyone,

I went to edit a post or two that I incorrectly typed, but found no Edit icon to do so with. The posts are not that new, but I am just wondering if it is possible to do this or not....

RE: first real attempt at 3d

Your getting there, lots of practice and sim time help too.:D I have a Magic, love it, but I havent flown it in a while because it needs to be recovered.

RE: Great customer service from these folks:

I have to add Duralite Batteries to the list, I had one problem with a smaller battery(2000mah 2s1p) in an airplane that used a lot of current, voltage dropped on the pack, so I called them up and...

RE: Jets and anhedral wings

Interesting topic, I learn something new everyday.:D I have been wondering what a swept back wing with anhedral would do for stall characteristics on an airplane such as a Gnat?

I found a...

RE: servos

Typically for a 35% scale aerobatic plane, you're going to need one per elevator half, two on each aileron, two on the rudder.

If you plan on doing 3D or competing in IMAC, you're going to want...

RE: Tip stalling Extra

I agree with mostly everything posted. I have flown some peoples overweight airplanes that would not tip stall, while light ones that would snap if you breathed on the elevator or slowed it down. My...

RE: QQ Yak54 72" or UltraRC Giles202

I'd say it's a toss up. Go with either one, you know you will be getting an awesome airplane. I have seen the Giles in person, quality of the build was great. Flying performance seemed to be awesome,...

RE: HANGAR 9 edge 540 78"

Hi Everyone,

Just wondering if anyone has a spare left wing that they are willing to part with, regardless of condition(even through a crash) as long as it is flyable even with some work. If you...

I agree with Beaggs, I hope you get through it and come out stronger, good luck.;)

The maneuver you are talking about might be a knife edge spin? (where the airplane rotates on its axis around...

RE: Seagull Razzle Setup

We have one with a YS 91AC-H four stroke, APC 14x4 3D blade. (engine was originally for a helicopter, that's what the H designation is) Pulls vertical quite well, flys 3D well, but we haven't been...

RE: Ideal 3D wing loading?

H9 Edge=36.66 oz wingloading. It 3d's, does most of everything, but it flies HEAVY and wingrocks/tipstalls if you are not careful. It is not as easy to fly it as smooth as a light plane, but if you...

RE: Another Li-po battery caught on fire

I agree, that's another reason I like the Duralites. (Most Duralites have it built in, so no need to buy external balancers or overcharge protection) From what I have seen, that safe charge circuitry...

RE: Darn you 700mAh batteries!!

If you run 3s you will probably burn out the reg if it's not rated for higher voltages, so 2 is perfect.

I use Duralite Lithium Ion packs, on my Edge I run a 2800 4 cell and Duralite's regulator...
