I have a couple extras already hacked. I also have usb cords and the software on disk.
I have doubled the resolution also. Plug and play.
PM if interested. I keep checking the stores around here and only the model 220 that no one has hacked yet are stocked.

If anyone is interested, I am selling CVS cams with a lens extension on them. You can extend the lens up to 18” from the main cam so you can mount it at any angle or in any direction. There is also a USB connector for easy downloading. The cam casing can be removed for weight reduction.

Hi Woody,
Just to let you know the small fine-pitch surface mount connector that connects to the lens needs to be removed. I'm not sure what your soldering / de-soldering skills are like?
I am looking into offering a service for people to send in their own cameras so I could modify them.
Let me know what you think.
Thanks,
Louis

Hi Louis,
I would like to send you two of my cameras for the extensions to be installed only. They are already hacked ver. 3.62.
This will provide much more options for views from my jets without taping them on the outside with Publar tape.
Let me know where to send them.
Regards,
Jay Smullen

Hi Louis, I got a couple of cameras from you last year, are you able to increase the resolution ? 10 mins of higher res footage would be nice.
Thanks, Rob.

Hi everyone,
I just finished watching Gordon's Pin Cushon video and Doug's onboard video, and I have to say I am impressed! This has inspired me to want to try one of these CVS cameras myself.
Although I do not know of any CVS stores around my area, I searched on Ebay and came up with a camcorder from Rite Aid that looks strikingly similar to the CVS camera. (Possibly the same camera, just with a Rite Aid logo on it?)
Here's an Ebay search on them, the designations of them seem very similar also.
http://search.ebay.com/riteaid-camco...sPageNameZWLRS
Now I have heard that the model 220 and 230 are not hackable? I will try to stop by a Rite Aid next time I am out and see if there are some 200's in there. (I hope so!
) If these are the same cameras, it will be a big help since they are readily available here in the Bay Area. If I am able to get one of these, it will be used on a prop plane, so I understand that it will probably have to be isolated extremely well from vibration to get a clear picture? I will have to check the camerahack sites, but is it possible to up the resolution of the camera to get a better picture? I can do with having just 10 minutes of video recording as long as it is at a little higher quality.
I don't know how well it will work having all of the camera surface out there to take forward or aft video, might be a little hard to attach to the airplane. Has anyone figured out a direct plugged in cable to allow just the camera lense to be on the outside of the airplane? Seems like it would be a lot more convenient, but I don't really want to spend too much on an onboard camera right now.
Any and All input is greatly appreciated!(and sorry for the bombardment of questions)
Thanks,
Brandon

I am selling the CVS cam with the lens extension. Send me a PM. It looks like I am not allowed to post links to ebay for some reason, my previous posts were removed.
