I recently had the same problem with my rex. After a bit of investigating, I noticed that the tail blades were binding a bit, not bad, but enough to interfere with the holding power.

What fuel are you running? I use Cool Power High-Performance Heli 30% nitro in my R30. I'm not sure of the oil content but it does say "heli fuel" on the label.

I'm running the JR 410t gyro and using a 6102 radio. I set the heli up in normal mode on the gyro first, it hovered fine. No trim, or sub-trim, wasn't hunting....practically hands-off hover. I landed...

Whats the diference between a tail-lock gyro and a heading hold gyro? I'm flying a JR 410T in my Hawk Sport and its doing great, just wondering what the diff was on this, if there is one? Thanks...
