Thanks Fred. You will really enjoy the way it flies, very honest. Did you design your own floats or were you able to find an existing design to use? As far as the weight goes I suspect it could be...

Hello All,

RE: Brian Taylor OS2U Kingfisher Build

Hi Ken,
I used an old set of Charlie Smith plans (1980 era?) in 1/5th scaled down to the Brian Taylor scale. I differed from the CS plans on the float mounting design using my own. I incorporated a...

RE: Brian Taylor OS2U Kingfisher Build

Think about it. A RC plane drops an RC torpedo. That torpedo races towards an RC destroyer. Then you trigger off some RC pyrotechnics and sink the destroyer! Then the RC fireboat and rescue boats...

RE: Brian Taylor OS2U Kingfisher Build

You're right! I've got about 6 Vortac bomb releases so I think I can spare two for it. I will make up scale looking depth charges on the lathe out of some plastic rod. The releases need to be forward...

Haven't posted on the thread in a while. I have started to add some scale details for a up coming scale contest. I decided to make some beaching gear for the OS2U to sit on rather than a foam stand....

RE: Brian Taylor OS2U Kingfisher Build

Had a mishap yesterday with the Kingfisher. Might have hit something in the pond as I ended up with a 1" x 3" piece of the hull getting knocked into the float bow. Of course it's in the most curved...
