Hi there,
I did my maiden few days ago, ground test on maiden day was perfect. Had a few ground test with 10/10 results no flame outs.
Start temp is 250degree idle temp is about 750degree show on the IR handheld read out ( Please advise on the temp is in Celsius or Fahrenheit on the IR) , If it is in celsius than i may have a temp probe issue, may need to recalibrate the probe, anyway how do you recalibrate it?
Max Throttle is 650deg, Idle RPM is average 34000-36000, Max Throttle average RPM 113000-115000
Take off, left turn and straight bout 30 seconds later Engine flame out (still have control), and manage to glide down safely. I suspect it could be my TX that gave problem that may have the ASD to kick in. As my TX died on me the next day that made me suspect this problem.
So should i fly again with a new TX or should i resolve the engine issue
Can you help advise
Happy Holidays!

Hi all, I have solved the problem. It was the Temp Probe that was sticking too far in, pull it back a bit and walla..
Anyway Simjet dosen't seems to be around at all, have emailed them but no response

jephry,
It appears that you have discovered the problem.
The temps indicated are in Celcius. Idle shoudl be approx, 450 to 600 C and Max 700 to 760 C.
To Claibrate the T/C, remove the front engine cover, and you wil see a small terminal block to which the T/C wires are inserted.
NEXT to this terminal block is a very small, square block with a very screw in the side of it. This is used to adjust the T/C calibration.
Using your Data terminal, turn on your ecu and you should be reading curent air temperature minus 2 degrees or so. If not, adjust this screw until you do. Tempurature is in Celcius

Hi Kerry,
Thanks for the reply, ever since that one sucessful flight without engine shuting down, the system started to have other issues.
1st: the next start up i had over a few day, the read out show "RPM without Start".
2nd: When i finally started the Temp is too high (750-850 Deg). Check T/C, looks ok.
3rd: Yesterday Try starting it, same issue, cool it down for next attempt, this time it show 1012 deg on switching on the system without even running the engines yet!!
4th: just this morninhg the ECU die on me, switch on and nothing shows up, not even the slightest sound.
Really Piss.. with the product really makes me wonder on the reliability. & the emails by far over a year have not even got a reply from them.

WOW!! The latest installment:
1-The ECU Came alive!!
2-The IR Transmitter became too hot to touch, still not transmiting to readout
3-Try to plug in Turbine and starter, try to do a start up, Surprise!! the Starter spins the turbine!
4-Plug in the rest, power up, the motor pump started running!!.. back to Square One!!
Suppose i should change the ECU to Gaspar Fadec!!

I would change out the T/C. When it shows a high temp reading and the engine has not been run, this is a sign that it is failing.
It appears to be a intermitent connection or even possible short in one of the cables or connectors.
Check your wiring to the starter motor inside the starter housing to be sure that you have no "frayed" wires touching the aluminum housing.
I would inspect all cables and replace any that look to be heavily worn of have bad connectors.
Also check to see that you have no conductive materials that may have gotten into the ends of the ECU case.
Best Regards,
