Default Going Electric

I have a new Miss Vegas Duece Nitro, never been used, still in the wrapper. I decided it will be too much messing around tuning and messy playing with a nitro, plus with the nitro yo uhave to keep it moving ALL THE TIME. I like the fact with an electric you can just stop and watch it float in the water and just look at it which I like to do.(give my hands a break) The nitro has to keep moving and moving fast cause there is no clutch or a water pump to keep it cool at idle. Doing slow passes or testing manuvering skills around rocks and things is what I like to do also, not just wide open fast passes.

So yes I decided I'm selling the Vegas and trying out a fast electric brushless setup. I've seen the youtube videos of both the Revolt 30 and Spartan...both look faster than a nitro.

My questions are.... Which one is more favorable? the Revolt 30 or Spartan? both seem impressive and in the same league, but I am trying to grip the best bang for buck and quality.... I want it to also run out of the box with no mods and run like the youtube videos....Both claim to do just that and I don't want to learn later that the "fast ones" have 400 dollars in mods. Which boat is more reliable? Frying speed controllers and motors in a stock setup is BS. I admit I like the looks of the spartan slightly better....it's a super nice looking boat, but if it has overheating issues even stock...I'll go with the Revolt.

Just looking to get one of these super boats that I can just throw a nice battery into and fly without much effort, tuning or worrying about sparks coming out of the hood.

So....hands down, be honest.....Revolt 30 or Spartan?

I'd go with the Revolt handles way better than the Spartan. I have an Impulse 31 V2 great boat but stock it's only good to 4S not 6S like they say.

I keep hearing a lot of smack about the Spartan, to bad, because it's a good looking rig. I like the looks of it way better than the Revolt and the Revolt in every video I see, likes to dive under water for some reason. I blame it on the front nose curving downwards lower than the rest of the deck....Why is that? aerodynamics so the nose is down while the boat climbs up on plain? That trademark dive the Revolt does, scares me. However everyone favors the Revolt and it's not bad looking, just don't like the top hatch styling....easy enough to make my own though which I may do...A custom paint job would be nice....

I'm going to wait for a good offer from Tower and get a Revolt, white hull, no radio or receiver.... 350.000 is too much IMO. Some guy on youtube got one for 200 shipped from Tower...somehow.

Anyways...never thought I'd like Boats, coming from planes and helis, thought boats would be boring and slow.. Ever since I got that little Harbor Frieght "Neptune" I have a ton of fun and I like the lower maintenance aspect too. I charge the battery, plunk it in the water and have fun....recharge....repeat....no adjusting rotors, linkages and all that stuff. Boating to me, is really relaxing and I don't worry if something goes wrong. Just paddle out and go get it, as to when something goes wrong with the heli....get your purse out.

My little Neptune is fun and it even draws a small crowd....goes around 15 MPH or so... Now I want a bigger boat, heavier and obviously, from watching the videos....fast, boat.

So yes I think the Revolt is a good deal...The Spartan cost a lot more and seems it doesn't handle as well as the Revolt.... So.... The choice is obvious and Aquacraft is all about boats while Traxx(Spartan) is mostly about cars.

So.... Grim racer, Aquacraft, seriously designed to be a hobbyist and racer's boat.... you'd think they made that Revolt to be the best. So yes.... Gonna get a Revolt, lol;.

I have never run a Spartan so I can't talk bad about them I agree they look very good. My issue with it is the ABS hull I don't get that one. I have seen what you mean about the revolt diving but with hatch tape which is required on that boat you should be fine. I've never run it either just going off what I have read and seen.
