Sorry, just a quick reply. Outriggers and pools don't mix unless you have an Olympic size pool.
The Depron outrigger is only 13" long and made out of Depron (Meat container foam) and 1/64" ply sheeting, problem is it won't get on plane by the time it hits the side of the pool.
I think you would be best suited for a Pool Racer like a ZigZag boat.
Otherwise it's a pretty tough task trying to make a small enough outrigger to get on plane in the span of an average pool.
IMO.

Ok thanks, I do have a pond to run it at. Do you know the basic setup of an electric boat, like all of the parts I would need? How small with electric boats can you go?

Go to this thread, "RED" is selling them from a web site he just opened up. RC groups discussion has a ton of info on the 13" micro rigger "DEPRON RIGGER". Just search it out.

Basically you need good batteries, a good motor and speed control suited for hull size and type of performance you desire. Anything above 6 cells I reccommend using a separate Rx battery. You need a driveline, flex shaft is simple, efficient and handles alot of power, a flex coupler or similar, running hardware: strut, strut mount and rudder, and prop. A charger is required, and don't forget the radio. Servo linkage is pretty easy, piano wire....oops, a motor mount would help too.
But the above mentioned Depron Rigger comes as a "limited" Kit and requires some extra parts, but Red tells you where to get those too. Fast little sucker made for all out speed, ovals.

no serious electric boat should be run in a pool simply because of the chlorine in the water, its corrosive.
Not to mention most pools are way to small.
