That says alot about the packs holding their rated value after 2-2.5 yrs.

Wheelnut,
Guess you got caught like the Who changing names or was it intentional?
Where were you in the forum when Rooski and I were talking about the rockets? Anywho. That was a different jacking.

Blackjack52- yeah there nice packs, now i feel better about spending $50 on them. I know now that they were worth it.

*yawn*

well, ill be up tommaro, early early ready to race that villain. My packs'll be hot and reddy to go.

The only thing that villain's got on me is a boat load of torque!

I changed my name on purpose, If I were trying to hide I would have changed my Avatar also, hehe. I was just using my initials before, I actually have been wanting to change it for some time, I just finally got around to it.
Yes I was in the forum when you were talking about the rockets, that was kind of funny to me because I have been planning to strap a rocket to my Kyosho ever since we went to NC and I bought some rockets while I was there. Cant wait. I am on vacation the week of Christmas, I will do it then. Weather permitting.

How about getting back on the subject or I'll lock the thread! This one has really drifted away from its original intent.

tell me about it...

Well update on the thread:

We raced, he had a lot of torque. But that didn't let him win. He blasted by me at first with a little hop out of the water, then I stopped cavatating and it wasn't a race. He could't turn to save his life. He lost like half his speed turning due to the universal propblem, he was running graupner u-joints tho.

Any quesions let me know. I pasicly owned him, but villains just arn't made for racing I guess. I mean he had to let of half the throttle just to get a smooth turn in... Anyway that was the race. He was running radio shack gps...
He got about 10 min of runtime I got about 6-7 .

All was smooth, and now maby he will stop talking about how his is so much better [>:]. Cause its not!

Later,
-Travis

Yes, it's funny how I can take a 33 MPH boat and whip on a "40 MPH" one.

Good to hear you had good runs. You'll have to get some very small boat silhouette stickers for each one you race and deep 6. Seems the SVs are doing a lot of that, now that setups are good and packs are broken in, and us Grimmies know more about the boat. Remember, the Elite4500s will take quite a few runs to optimize their punch. Don't get too boisterous until new packs are nice and strong.

Start posting your boat runs/race results in the Supertune SV thread so we can all prosper.[8D]

Will do!

Fox 4 fox 4 we have a problem! Cheap battery packs.com hasn't even shipped yet! Should I order from offshore?

Who does a better solder job? Offshoreelectrics has them for 52.99 and cheap battery packs has them at 54.99.
I dont mind the price diffrence but who will give me a better quality battery? Im talking about solder and such and shrink rap, who will have better cells and stuff?? Keep in mind there ib4200's thanks! I got 3 hours to decide before i have to reorder and have them ship out today!

No probs with cust service or batt construction. I didn't use the upgrade because at the time I purchased I thought that option was for "end to end" config packs. But after looking at it again, seems they'll use the copper where applicable. I'd go for it. It would make sense to have the least amount of resistance where ever possible......batts/motor/connectors.

What would be the diffrence between Ib3600's and 4200's?? How "Much" runtime would I loose? Would I loose any performance?

no performance diff
as for the run time . well it all depends on the amps your pulling and how many cells.
from the 4600's to the 4200's you could see any where from 2 mins to 6 mins difference

There both 6 cell, and both gunna be used in a sv27, (12 cell config)

Its between Ib4200, and Ib3600.. Would I really notice the runtime?

Default RE: Elete 4500

Here's actual run time differences:
3800s with race trim about 6 min. If you let off in corners, about 7 min. Prop=CF48 and 47. Running about 4600mAh with these.
4500s with race trim about 7min. If you let off in corners, about 8 min. Same prop choices. Running about 5200mAh with these.

Not that big a difference. Might get slightly longer also depending on internal resistance. Remember, mAh is what gives you duration. These are FEs, so the longer you run, the hotter you'll get.

Go down in prop might yield slightly longer run times.
