alex - Did you get connectors put on the controller and motor? If so, just connect the 3 wires from the controller to the 3 wires on the motor and check rotation when you blip the throttle. If it spins backwards, just swap any 2 wires and you'll be good to go!

It should spin in a way that moves your boat forward. Just being a smart ***** Use the gold plated connectors. I think I have some that are 3.5 mm (bullet) that I'm going to use on mine.

Just a note: if you haven't got a prop yet...the prop you use will spin counter-clockwise when looking at the transom. The same goes for the motor as it is direct drive.

the esc middle wire and motor middle wire is always the same, 2 other side wires are + and -, its wont hurt anything if you mix up them, just changing your motor direction, make sure dont mix up the middle wires.

All 3 wires can be connected any way you want, There is no + or - wires coming out of the esc,its AC current pulses.

BB Modss is right. Hook the wires up any way you want. If it doesn't spin the right direction...swap ANY 2 wires and it will reverse the rotation.

Just to clear thing's up,if the motor isent turning in the direction you want, swap any 2 of the 3 wires going to the motor, sounds silly but i get guys in the shop i work at at least once a month telling me they need a new esc because they were told to swap any 2 wires, and they swapped the power wires coming from the battery....don't laugh..it happens to us all some times.
