Here's the video of the VS-1 with the 1900KV scorpion and 4S lipos.

JC, to answer your question, I've never heard of Toysports before! The name you write is definitely a Hungarian name, but I don't know sorry.
The only Hungarian model boat brand name I know is Kukorelli, made by Mr.Karoly Kukorelli. A friend has a micro Kukorelli boat, its full GF hull and does crazy maneuvers with a small Hyperion outrunner.

lol i was just about to post it.
in that video the esc has 0 timing advance, the difference it made to mine was like 2 different motors.and properchopper later retested it with higher timing and also said there was a major difference

Thanks Ozzie
Which one are you using?
Norbique
Here is the website of Toysport:
http://www.toys-port.hu/en/index.htm
The hulls look like good quality and are not cheap.
Cheers

Peter. could you post some pics of the push-pull system? I would be very grateful.

I went to get it this morning from the lhs and they only had 4-40 rod. I wanted the dubro part #DBR 343 flex cable type. I just think it looks cool running externally on the boat, nitro of course. Unless someone can show me one on F/E tunny.
See included pic, the external steering cables running from under the cockpit, along the outside to the mighty Honda? Like that, but on our scale.
I don't use Scotts Mystery esc, bit I have had the original Turnigy plus & Sentilon HV plane/heli esc's running in boats, non watercooled since Sep 2007. I think they are bulletproof. My very early ones can be programmed only low, middle and high. I leave outrunner motor on low. On the newer Turnigy marine 120, you can programme timing - 0.00', 3.75, 7.50, 11.25, 15.00, 18.75, 22.50 & 26.25'. Crickey? All from tx or handy card. No point to me with D Neu, but maybe later with Y Neu. I hope I got that right, before the Neu boys jump on me.
JC - I like head of the river, quicker than hobbyking.
2 boxes of crap arrived this morning, so I will be a busy beaver.
Have a good day tunnel nuts.

Yep. I don't want to take it away if you ever want it in the future, but bloody oath I'll take it. How much coin or do you want to barter/swap? I don't care either way.
Thanks for this too. My lhs are car nuts and only have 1 wall of dubro bits.
Cheers

Good morning gents! Or should I say good night?! Anyway, I just finished working on the tunnel for today. Anyone interested in a 2.5ccm OS marine engine? I have to find a way to build up money for the project. Off to sleep, good bye!

RE: The Unofficial Outboard FE Tunnel Thread
hmm , i dont know whats happened to servo horn bits they were never taken out of the box [:@]
any way here is the pics of what i have.
first pic shows the 4 clevises and the brass screw in bits (dont know there correct name) the wire gets soldered in to the brass tube then the threaded end screws in clevis giving you tension adjustment, there is also i wire guide for running steering wires out of radio box (long thin black plastic bit).
second pic is fuel tank with mounts, allows fuel tank to slide back and forth, you can also see the gold coloured steering wire and plastic tube it slides threw.
third pic is another wire not reall sure what thats for lol

RE: The Unofficial Outboard FE Tunnel Thread
Thanks Scott. No rush, have a look around. What is special servo horn? Like the pic on parts for VS1 at Tower? I've never used cable push/pull, only steel rod.
I'll take the tank too. Very kind mate, but if you and your family like honey, I'll send up a kg of Australian yellowbox. No arguements, due to your nice gesture.
I'm out of full time work too. Heaps are mate and I know of many just packing it in due to being fed up. I do part time with the uncle and his bees, thus honey.
I can amuse myself with our most silly cheap creations Bob and I make, between nice/clean builds, lol. Here, the Wingrush. Cost nuthin to build using house bolts for transom, ply etc, classic. We will abuse it Wed/Thu for you all and get vid.
Enjoy life my friend, don't ever feel down due to temporarily being out of a job. These are times we must embrace with r/c and sillyness. Go part time, but enough $ for everything, with week days off.
Thanks again
Peter

RE: The Unofficial Outboard FE Tunnel Thread
looks like i stuffed up, gold wire is throttle, silver wire is steering, here is a couple pics, you can see the round servo horn, wire is twisted into this.
but seeing i have 4 clevises that have the screw in brass bits, cant see why you couldn't just use a normal servo horn like on my vs1 have clevises on that and the lower leg.

RE: The Unofficial Outboard FE Tunnel Thread
Would that wire go around the round horn once then exit out for steering so it grips on the horn? Is that how it is done? I know nothing of this steering setup, but it intrigues me.
If the wire was on a standard type horn/servo with cleavis, i'd imagine it would have to be tensioned pretty much, where maybe that round horn takes some strain? I don't know.

RE: The Unofficial Outboard FE Tunnel Thread
that looks like a fun little project, love doing silly things with rc gear.
a mate and myself played with some silly things awhile back, 25" stepped mono on 6s spinning over 90,000 rpm,it was a hoot, 6s powered 25" hydro would pull wheelies at 40+ mph when you nailed it lol.
on the esc side i can get a 100a mystery for about $25 to my door, just cant afford the $$$ for anything better at the moment and they look just like a 200a minus one board so hope programing is the same, i don't want to take the mgm out of my cat as thats all setup and the only other boat i have now

RE: The Unofficial Outboard FE Tunnel Thread
Scott,
I will pm from now on regarding bits & bobs. THANKS.
Nice vid.
Now tunnel fans of F/E. These are the vehicles I have collected over the years for electric preversion, in their various states of disrepair.
Size comparison in the order of: HM Skater XL MKII, Dumas Hotshot Sprint, HM Skater & TS2.
Which one do I like the best? Still the Hotshot. Don't know why? Can't be about quality because I built it? Maybe the wood? Perhaps because it was my first tunnel and I have fond memories.
Remember tunnel rats, that I have way lower kv donks than you nutters. I can do 5s and swing the 42 with absolute major reckless abandon.

Nice tunny family...... My favourite would be the two Hydromarine. The quality of those german hulls is hard to beat.
So when are you adding an HM Micro Kat to the family? "Only" Eur073 (minus VAT) on their website......
