I wish you luck with your 7xl power setup...hopefully it will live a long time without the esc going up in smoke. If I were you, I would use the new MarinePower lipo's with 6.5 bullet connectors for added insurance.

BTW thats a cool color Green. What type of paint did you use?

Hey JakeDW!

You have made some great progress and looks good too!

I have only done a bit more due to being busy at work. I used some t-nuts in the booms instead of the aircraft nuts because it sits just a hair lower than the nuts.

Here are a few pics for you to check out anyhow...

Where did you purchase the Lipo battery in picture and what brand name is it (Enerland)? I like the beefy 10gauge battery wire.

Hi detox!

Those lipos are in fact Enerland and I got them from RC Lipos (from Pat). They are 25C 5000's.

Hey, I think I'm going to go with your foam idea around the lipos. That seems to be the money!

Hey Taylor!

It DEFINATELY is a great kit and design! I am just taking my time on it and making sure everything is setup just right.

Have you done anymore on the vinyl logos for me? I know you said you were at a standstill because you were waiting for the white vinyl to be sent to you. PM or email me sometime...no big hurry.

Thanks,
Kent

No doubt Taylor! He is a great guy and took good care of me as he does with everyone. Great communication with him. I think i'm gonna get an Optima deep cycle marine Batt from him soon. Need something for the pond.

Looks cool to me Jake! I think I am going along the same route that detox took. I like the way that he can move the lipos to change the CG easily.

Jake it looks like it would work. Where about is your C of G on it with that setup. I would suspect it would be right about in the center of the motor. that is a good spot for it.

The CG is about the end of the motor but the stuffing tube, flex cable prop, and esc are not on the rigger yet so it will put more weight in the back to bring the cg back further moving the bats forward makes a huge difrence in 1 1/2 inches I can move them should be no problem changing the cg.

It is very important to test fit everything before ordering batteries.

What will you be using to seal wood before paint? I used Z POXY finishing resin applied with 1" foam brush then sanding between coats (total three coats on sponsons and just one coat on hull). I block sanded sponsons between coats and paint is smooth as glass. The hull did not turn out as smooth because of just one coat and minor sanding.
