Default Which connector is needed for...

I am powering a Sea Queen with a 12volt sealed lead acid battery. I have a Mtronics, Viper 20 ESC. The ESC comes with a Tamiya male plug for the battery. The ESC directions say that if the factory plug is removed/altered/etc., the warranty is void. All I see is 7.2 volts in conjuction with the Tamiya plugs. Will these Tamiya connectors be OK for the 12 Volt battery and my 20 amp ESC. I do have an inline fuse between the battery + terminal and the ESC. I would rather use Deans Ultra .... but........ ????
Thanks,
slowboat ..... lownslo........ Bob in Indy

You can make a tamiya to deans adaptor to connect the ESC and the battery.

Sorry.......
I think I confused the issue/question. I should NOT have mentioned Deans connectors. I am only interested in the capability of the Tamiya connector to handle 12 volts........... 20 amp in ESC.
Thanks,

Tamiya connectors do not retain their tension. The design is not intended for repeated insertions, and fails miserably. It might be OK for 20A for a while, down the road it might not.

Voltage is not a concern.
