RE: F1 GAS OUTBOARD
Sorry Roland, forgot about your boat. Don't normally post pics of braggersBut just for you as i feel sorry for you after the last race event. Were you there?
Hows that one? Think this was taken in the one or two practice laps you did manage to complete. Think you need a "pull start " to get over the start line.....

Hey Cowboy !
You better start working on that turn 4 - I have done some DOMINIZING to some motors [:@] - so it wont be all about who has the fastest boat - it will be 'WHO CAN DRIVE THERE FAST BOAT - FASTEST ? ".................................................. .

Greetings from the PRATTMEISTER!!
So far so good guys!
A whole lot of Smack being spoken .... fantastic! I'm in, there is a simple say .... talk is cheap and bannanas cost money!
I will hopefully be ready to race but still need to find some spares. At least I have not had to spend the last 3 weeks rebuilding my boat. OK so I would still need to rebuild the motor , always something.

RE: F1 GAS OUTBOARD
Great looking boats guys!!!
Is anyone willing to talk about what mods they have done? It would also be great to hear what props and their modsand what fuel you guys will be using. No need for secrets when it comes down to good piloting to win a race!!! Not long now till the racing begins!!!
I went to print these pics out the other day Dom, and now my printer has spooler issues!!!GRRRRRRR
All the best,
Dion.

RE: F1 GAS OUTBOARD
Hi Dion
Some info with regards to TEAM "DOM the BOMB" race set up !
Radio - JR STICK - pistol grip does not allow me the feel/responce that I get from a stick radio. I like to have big throttle travel, which a cant get on a pistol radio - I also cant get the feel for the boat with the steering wheel on the pistol grip. Some love the Pistol Grip.
Motor - 26 PUM Zenoah.
Leg - ENIGMA CAMBER
Prop - 2 blade abc 2714 10 degree
Pipe - YPC Wrap 2011 with custom manifold
Fuel - regular 95 octane. ( boosters dont add any advantage - if anything cause some damage if used incorrectly)
Oil - I am a big fan of Motul 700 ( very good oil) 20:1 ratio
Motor mods = DOMINIZED ie some accurate adjustments made to the various critical areas of the motor and carb.
The outboards need some what more bottom end than the Inboards due to the transom weight and hull displacement.
Finally - like you say - the most important ingredient - PRACTICE - PRACTICE - SET up- Set up - Set up - The thing money cant buy ! and yet so few focus on it.
I will post some detailed photos of the Leg set up in relation to the hull ....................
The start to our Championship will be in August as we are hosting a final Invitational event this coming race day before the CMBC club start there new season.
Have a great weekend all
Regards

RE: F1 GAS OUTBOARD
Hi there Dom,
Thanks for the info, the leg set up would be great, as you know I have most of the parts to put together one of these set ups but want to get it right first time for garanteed fun just like in the vids!!
I see that you all have added metal sections to the front of your sponsons- are these available for purchase and how are they attached?
Have not heard much from Texan the race WINNER, hope he's got that hull shining for the trophy shot!!
Great stuff guys,
Dion.

RE: F1 GAS OUTBOARD
Hi Tunnel, Texan is sitting without any wisdom left in him at moment.(been at dentist) Will be back with some smack talk soon i'm sure.
My Boat runs with
Zenoah 26 pum(Dom blueprinted) and a rob mod or two!
Xray leg (still the best)
2714 abc 10 degree rake.
+- 700 gram nose weight( permanent)
std pump gas but favour quicksilver tcw111 oil.
And of course a permanent fixture is the Go Pro video camera , just to affect my aero dynamics
enough so Dom can keep up, just.
I also favour the stick system radio, in my opinion you have a more progressive feeling of control.Spektrum DX6i with marine receiver.
Rob

RE: F1 GAS OUTBOARD
Hi there Mojo,
Sounds like Dom's the man in town when it comes to getting some mod work done over there. Texan should have the camera st up too-run it straight to pc real time and he could race like a video game as I read he is good!! He would have a pilots veiw to get some really tight lines around the bouyes.
Cheers,
Dion.
