OK.. if you feel that was a downright attack.. and its obvious you do… I can step up..
Please forgive me (Mike Zaborowski) for attacking your family… my apologies to you and yours.
Now can you?

You alluded to or made accusations that because I was disappointed in how the V24 debacle was handled by Aquacraft and because I spout off about it that it somehow meant I must abuse my family, so yeah, it pissed me off.
But anyway, apology accepted, it's in the past now.
Happy boating.

Good to see that everybody has made peace...... Life is too short for anything other than having fun.
Was just rebuilding my AC SV27 brushless after it got stuck in middle of the lake for 4 days..... Can't wait to run it again soon......

Dang! That was a lot of unnecessary nonsense.
Now that that’s over...
Hi Everyone! I'm new to boating & I personally really like the v24.
Not as it is, but what it could be.
I think it’s one of the most original unique boats I’ve seen in a long time.
Even though it is... an old boat.
The real ones, $55,000+, gasp! Are way cool!
I have a question: As the title of this thread stated...
Is this boat a good boat? Well built?
Realistically… as in the hull, hardware, radio (witch I believe is a Futaba radio) excluding the Motor of course.
I’ve read the horror stories of the Rio’s motor.
I would be, (based on what I saw from doby’s electric conversion), very interested in having one.
I just love the hull design.
Is it possible to order one w/o the motor but with everything else?
I would even be happy to just display it on my coffee table until I can get a Zenoah for it.
Also. Is it possible to get 40- 50 mph from this hull without going too extreme? Engine wise.
I would be content with this boat if that were possible.
It’s just hard to spend $645.00 for this RTR boat, just to sink another $300.00ish, right into it before it even gets wet.
Thanks for the help.
Mikey

XR Mikey; Here is a link to most of the parts you would need. The hulls show up on E-Bay everynow and then. Also, Tower sometimes has then in their "Scratch and Dent" section as well for good prices.
Its a fun boat and looks like nothing else on the water. It always draws a big crowd!

Its holding up very well, given that its faster than any gas powered V-24 out there. Earlier this year it hit 56.5 on the GPS.
I did how ever reinforce the hull with expandable foam in the bow, in the "wings" and under the radio box. Last fall it even survived a roll over at about 40 Mph with no problems.

I had a hairline crack on the cylinder head which was replaced with no question within a week and I live in Toronto, Canada. Oh yes we have igloos here
Get a Stainless Steel 3 Blade 70 Mil Tatur Prop
or
Get a Stainless Steel 3 Blade 68.5 Mil XXX Prop

Want to plane higher and faster? Remove and replace your stock tank with an IV Bag and tuck it under your radio tray. This will give you better CG as the boat is nose heavy.
Want to turn better and faster? Fill in the space between strakes on the 3rd step and 2 inner strakes on the 2nd step. This will allow you to turn tighter without hooking or doing a barrel roll by being able to skim or slide over water in and out of tight turns. Do not grind off your strakes, the 8 Oz of fiberglass fill will give you a lower CG.
Put a Zen 260 PUM with clutch and water pump into it and you will have a big smile on your face. Add a CCP10 exhaust kit from http://www.ccracingengines.com and you will have one ear to ear.
When I grow up I will buy a Nimbus hull from MHZ with a Z drive or RCM drive.
Did I say I like my V24 then, now and in the future?

Hi guys
My friend bought my V-24 off me.I changed the stock motor to a Sikk 27cc motor, wrap to centre manifold with a cmb tuned pipe.We ran the boat today in fairly rough conditions, handled it very well.We played with some props too.The best one we found was a Octura 455 3 blade.
Regards
