Back from the weekend saterday I started her up and threw her in the water and it stalled (off a dock) got the seadoo out got her back and adjusted the idel up a bit started her up agine and chuncked her in and gave some gas we were off did some slow laps some turns and then it started plowing the water and shut off.Got her to the dock and the strut had pushed itself down to the point of binding up the shaft no biggie fixed it up and this time felt like a pro started her up tossed in the lake gas at the same time and she was off and doing well gave her 1/2 throttle and she really came to life mainly at this time just trying to get a feel for the stearing then it was like i had no stearing as it was going awayfrom me then i let off the gas and there was no responce as it sped away it creeped up in speed it turned to the right ever so slight helpless we jumped on the seadoo controler in hand as we rounded the dock i could see her comming back toward us at this time even faster it was up on plane with a good rooster behind it just as i was admiring how nice of a set it had taken it stoped and fliped up side down.People were on the lake by this time so the testing was over.

Sat night after getting the water out ect letting it dry out over the day started her up threw her in and she was off did some sharp turns and fast passes jumped some wakes did a 360 and powered her out of it and then you guessed it she took off buy her self agine this time not so far and she shut off and was on her bottom.At this point I felt lucky that it was a ghost rider 2 times and hit nothing so i quit while I was a head so it looks like a fail safe and fassts is in order unless you guys have another idea.Whe I got it back to the dock everything worked fine????????????? both times it was not really that far from me.


The hull did turn fast and smooth jumped a seadoo wake and keep going like a champ spun it out and powered out of it if I would have not had the glitch with no control it would have been a great first outing.My brother inlaw all the kids keep telling me how fast it looked and they loved the sound it made.

What radio setup are you running? A failsafe is a must in these boats (in fact any rc).

Airtronics M8 with a spektrum 3001 pro RX and TX 1500 mah 5 cell pack and cap I thought the spektrum had a fail safe built in if it does it was not working.

I don't think that your spektrum 3001 receiver has a fail safe built in.

All spektrum receivers have a built in failsafe. Check that it set properly & rebind/set failsafe again just to make sure, if you have reversed the servos you will need to reset the failsafe. I assume the Rx module is a pro module. Also make sure that the maximum amount of antenna is pointing to the sky on both your Tx & Rx.

The max Antenna was pointing up.They have been reversed( how would you reset the fail safe )i can rebind it no problem .

while you rebind the Tx to Rx hold the throttle at full brake (closed carby) & this will shut the engine off if it goes out of range. make sure you can shut the engine off by pulling full back on the throttle, enscrew the idle screw & throw it away if you haven't already.

If anyone is intrested in this boat I will sell it less motor (but will come with ano cooling top and ano veloicty stack)all you will need is a zen mot(205 shipped from bonzi)and radieo reciver and reciver pack.

400 and 35 for shipping cant buy the hardware for that.just moving on to other boat projects
