RE: My new 58
My shed is insulated, lined and has TV, radio, Aircon & is more of a hobby room. It's split in two and the other half is full of tools, filings, carbon dust, resin & all the filth that goes with it. I need to get on that this weekend & clean it out now that & have finished most of my builds for the winter & migrated the boats from the tool side to the Hoby room side.
here's a pic of the back wall of my shed.

That's the hobby room or "clean" side. It wasn't like that 2 weeks ago, the tool side won't be shown until I've cleaned that out. There's junk piled in there &^% everywhere right now.

RE: My new 58
The big blue cat at the top is actually dark blue. It is one of only two built. My friend downloaded plans off the net for a fullsized cat, scaled it down & that is the result. The sponsons are too flat & id slides really bad in the corners. I may run it in offshore one day, but there's no offshore class here right now. I did a build thread on it here a while back. I'll see if I can dig up the link.

Hi mate looks good,i was having problems getting a straight pull from the rudder to the servo and i dont wanna bend the rod how did you manage it ? i have the same box.Think ill need to put the rod in the outer hole on the rudder see if thats better. That little triangular part on the box in the corner is a bit in the way on these boxes to get the rod in the corner any more [:@],i also tested the box for water leaks and it does leak a little after been submerged for 10-15 mins but Gaz says he puts vaseline on the seal and it seems to work.
Mart
ps i like how you managed to hide all the wires under the plywood insert looks very neat and tidy, hope mine looks as good.

RE: My new 58
thanks for the complement mart,
i have offset the box as far over as i can to the right, it was just luck realy,
the linkage is just off from the corner.
had to lift the box up about half inch off the hull, all lines up good.
not long now.

got to the lake an it wouldnt start!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
checked it over and no spark, then there was and then there wasnt,
went back to simons and did the usual parts substitutions. found source coil knackerd.
left simons coil on it, but these coils are limited and dont run or rev the same as zenoah coils.
back to the lake to try it and by this time there was canoes all over the place!!!!!!!
waited for a clear patch when they where called in and then chucked it in for a short blast,
engine was off but put it down to the different coil. no video though, till next time when it runs good.
shows good promises though.
