Maybe will go.I will have to go before that just to make sure she will run around the pond. I'll even let you drive it if I get her going.

RE: AMPS hulls & outboards pics& tips
I wonder if my hull would sell on Ebay if I had an AMPS outboard to put on the back of it. I'd probably get offers to buy the outboard, but not the boat.I've found that no one is interested in a big boat unless you give it away. Maybe I'd do better if I make a flower planter out of it and sell it as a yard decoration.Even plastic pink flamingos are selling again.

I think if you put two 11's with the merc cowls on her she'd be gone right away.I really think it's the fact that people are not spending any money.I bought a 26" Raker prop for my FS for 26.00 bucks on ebay 2 weeks ago, last year I bought the same prop for 160.00 and I thought I got a deal. I'd try ebay the worst thing that might happen is that you'll still own it.lol!!

You could use that outdrive for gas motors, but I wouldn't exceed a 26cc.
AMPS used them in their 402 and other companies used them in an Apache Boat back in the late 80's
Check FeeBay for recent sales, that's always a good source.

RE: AMPS hulls & outboards pics& tips
So as it goes, I bought a Starcraft CPS20 AMPS boat off eBay a couple of months ago without seats. Thanks to Special K lending me his set of seats I now have a mold capable of producing seats.
I have made a few improvements on the original design along the way.
1.) the seats are now lighter than the original
2.) I have eliminated the seam down the middle and added carpet texture for the floor
3.) The seats now FLOAT!
The seats are constructed with 6 oz of fiberglass mat on the bottom and rigid expanding foam on the upper. They can be painted or left in the original white color.
I have also made replacement wings made out of white plastic

RE: AMPS hulls & outboards pics& tips
I have also been busy making molds for the AMPS outboards covers.
Here's what I have so far. These are hand laid fiberglass and come out of the mold with PPG's K36 Urethane Primer Surfacer already on them, just give them a light sanding to remove the gloss and they're ready for paint.
I spent some serious time on making the plugs straight and accurate so they will look better than the original ABS covers and be stronger too.

are the cowls for the 3.5 or will they fit the 7.5 ?

The cowls will fit a 7.5cc with room to spare and the 11cc will fit tightly there should be no problem fitting a smaller power plant in any of these. I know Special K bought one off eBay a year ago with a 3.5 inside and it even had a servo mount in there to boot!
Price & availability will be announced in the near future. This is my hobby and spare time at the moment is limited.
My goal will be to offer the cowls in separate parts (top, bottom, or a set) and primed or completely painted with graphics.
Here's a pic of Ken's 3.5 sitting in the Evinrude cowl

yes the 3.5 and the 7.5 cowlings are the same . this AMPS 3.5 is the first one { International hobbies } did with the 12' mid. it is cool that it has the throttle servo mounted in it
