Yes or no. Why or why not. There is a thread with 1102 replies as of the last time I checked. With the recent release of the Jammin X1-CRT and Kyosho, HPI, and Thunder Tiger all showing pictures of their new truggy (not conversions) why not? Truggies are blazing all over the country and they're here to stay. Speak up, lets get a Truggy Forum going.

So because some kid with his first vehicle couldn't drive his truggy, then truggies in general are "lame"? That really makes sense

They dont take less skill to drive just a totally diffrent driving style. My revo is actually easier to drive than my truggy/buggy despite the huge engine Ive throw in it just because buggies and truggies accellerate harder and faster than is possible with a traditional MT.

i think you truggy guys should have youre own forum they are a class of their own and there for need their own forum. i think they are getting popular enough to have their own webs and so forth. they are gaining popularity around here in iowa and last time me and my highly modded. lst tried to tangle with the truggy guys at my track i got my ass handed to me. and they cant drive any better than me cause i beat the same group of drivers in my 1/8th scale class so truggies do have an advantage over traditinal monster trucks. ive driven a few lsp pro kit trucks and was very impressed and may be racing a truggy this next spring along with my 1/8th scale. i think by the end of next year the truggy class will be more populer than 1/8th scale just cause they are very forgiving/stable and fast. roscoe, I agree they are all the rage on the west coast and demand is growing by the minute here on the east coast. Truggies should run in a seperate class from traditional transmission type monster trucks starting yesterday. They are the Formula 1 cars of monster trucks in my opinion.

there should definately be a truggy forum.... i keep trying to do some research and have to keep jumping back and forth in the 1/8 and monster truck forums. truggies are mentioned in both but are scattered everywhere. that makes it hard for someone like me to make sure that i don't post a question that has already been asked. HEY ADMIN!!!!! we need a truggy forum!!!

Turning a buggy into a truggy in my opinion is like taking a samurai sword and turning it into a tennis racket.

I definitely think they should have their own forum, 'cos I for one don't wanna hear about 'em...[:'(]

Jus' kidding folks, each to their own, but honestly I don't like truggies myself...

You need to look at some of th elap times they post....I get just as fast times w/ my truggy.....I'm sure it won't e long before I'm beating them....my truggy is actually lighter than my buggy now....I run an XB8 w/ a P5 and a mutant maxx w/ a fantom .27 (actually that engine is out and I'm looking for a more durable mill now).....right now it's got a VZ-b and I chase buggies down all the time w/ it.....it turns sharper than th ebuggy and gets better traction on bluegroove......before making naive statements like that you should research them a little more....might like what you find

So instead of posting on that "thread" http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_2757781/tm.htm , you started another thread in a different forum? By the way, there is a Suggestion forum also. http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/forumid_47/tt.htm

Well if you would just simply create the forum, THIS thread wouldn't exist.

what do you mean truggies take less skill? i highly doubt that. the truggies are faster than a mt, giving it the advantage of being able to pull away faster than the mt's can

Much like electric racing, trucks (not the monster variety) often have superior lap times to their buggy counterparts. This is due in large part to the larger contact patch of the tires, the wider stance, extra suspension travle, and while still maintaining a similar center of gravity.

The first truggies, which were scratch built one off buggies, were managing to keep up or beat buggy lap times. Wait until all of the first generation production truggies are released. Buggies will again be made obsolete by their truck counterparts.

Side note: The same thing can be seen with 1:1 off road racing, typically the trophy trucks finish in front of the class 1 buggies.

It's not up to me to create the forum; however, the members that "want" such a forum can post their Suggestions in a forum already created. My guess would be that "Most CAR members" didn't even realize there was a Suggestion forum or if they did, they must not really care about a truggy forum anyway since nobody appears to have posted such a suggestion in the Suggestion forum.

Why does everything have to turn into a contest around here.

I don't care if they can take off and fly around the track. I prefer buggies and that's my opinion. Naive? Do you even know what the word means?

Lastly, I have a 1/10th 4WD Nitro stadium truck, which is great for what it is, big wheels, big jumps, impresses the little kiddies. The buggy is my track weapon, and I wouldn't convert it into anything else. If I wanted another truck, I'd probably buy one.

Done. I'll even leave a link in the buggy forum, so it will get twice as much attention when traffic is redirected to the Suggestion forum.

Here is a [link=http://www.rcpics.net/img/65671]clip[/link] of a test run of our own developted MBX5 truggy conversion with its original chassis. The test was done on a track built for buggy. I say this is a buggy track because we found that the truggy should take all advantages over the buggies under such condition. So we are observing to rebuild the track to kind of condition that can reveal the ultimate performance of truggy.

That truggy is eating those buggies Alive on that track. Thats a really nice truggy. Looks like it handles better than my SUT.

Hey guys,

I just picked up an Ofna MBX Pro Comp, and have been hearing a lot about the Truggy phenominon that is sweeping across my area and I have seen some video of Truggys dominating on tracks.

My question though is how do I go about converting my Buggy into a Truggy?

I took some XTM Mamoth ST wheels and tires and put them on and the fronts cleared with no problems but the rears hit the chassis and body terribly, even if I were to trim everything to fit........the wing would hit the tire when the suspension compresses.

Is there some kind of conversion kit that I could buy with longer suspension arms or something?

I would apreciate any help in this matter,

Jason.
