Can someone tell me if they had this problem before and whats causing it...
I jsut brought 2 new 2200 mah lipos for my 450 se. I charge up both batteries, put one in the helicopter to test it out in a hover.
I hover it for about 1 minute when all of a sudden the battery gets low??!! I say to myself this cant be because the battery charged for 2 hours!! When disconnected the battery and took it off the helicopter, it was already slightly warm. Why would it be warm with only one minute of flight??
I figure I'd try the 2nd battery, and it does the same thing??!!... I dont think its my batteries beacuse I ordered from this guy before. Can anyone tell where the problem might be?
A little background info:
I had a pretty bad crash recently where the nose got planted pretty well in the ground and I damaged the main blades, feathering shaft
flybar, main gear and tail boom.
****I noticed the receiver doing something strange also****
when I plug the battery in, the helicopter wouldnt go thru its initalizing beeps, it would only beep one time then stop. I would have to
remove the plug a couple of times and plug it back in before it would initialize properly (beep).
please help[&:]

If you're sure it's not the batteries, you may also want to check your electronics. You may have damaged something else in the crash.

Given this information, I am sure that the ESC and/or receiver is/are damaged.
And if the ESC does not go thru the normal beeps, what made you throttle up? There is one thing I learned a while ago with helis, and I have a scar to remind me. If something does not look right, DO NOT THROTTLE UP!.

Is your ESC mounted up front where it could have been damaged in the crash? Does your charger tell you how many amps you are putting back in after a minute flight? What makes you think the batteries are are drained after 1 minute? What was your charge rate that the batteries charged for 2 hours? 2200mah lipos won't take more than 1 hour if drained to 80% capacity if you charge at 1C. Brand new lipos come about half charged, so the initial charge would be around 30 to 40 minutes. The receiver doesn't beep, it's the ESC sending the tones to the motor. That's where the beeping sound comes from. If your ESC is up front, you probably damaged it. After i minute does the low voltage cutoff kick in? If so, the programming in the ESC is probably screwed up. You can try and reprogram it, but if that doesn't work you will need a new ESC. Alan
