I've just bought a second hand xmodels xcalibur and the wing servos have been heat shrink rapped and then glued in place with silicone sealent.

Is there an easy way to remove the sealent from the wings without damaging them?

Any help vastly appreciated!!

We do this when we glue servos into the wings of composite sailplanes. Slit the shrinkwrap and the servo should pop right out.

Alternately you can cut the servos out using dental floss as a "saw". Assuming you can get the floss behind & under the servo.

careful use of a razor knife? the type that extends and locks the blade...

Silicone Remover

Many of us use silicone sealants and adhesives during model construction, and fine products they are too…until you need to remove them from the model! The sealants aren’t too difficult to get off but the adhesives can be a right pain – you can cut them with a sharp knife but cleaning any residual off the surface is very difficult due to their rubbery and excellent adhesion properties.
