I have been dreaming about bying the ASM Lancaster since I first read about it. My progress so far has been bying 4 .52 engines and a Seagull Dual Ace in which the first set of engines are being flown in. Why do the running in on a bench when there's plenty of air to do it in. I have done the synchronization mechanical. And that is just not good enough. It is not in synch in the full range. I have bought a twin synch, which I have not installed yet.
You mention a quad synch. What make is that? Where did You buy it and at what price?

Much earlier in this thread some members were asking about the ASM Mosquito, which it seems never actually appeared.
Earlier this year I actually bought one of them, which had been a demonstration model for the ASM distributors here in the UK I believe.
The model was a 'bare' airframe with no equipment, undercarriage etc. and unfortunately no instruction manual either. I suppose if it was a pre-production model then the manual might not actually have been written. I have tried searching for this model on the web but have found no information at all.
There was some fairly minor damage which was probably caused mostly in storage.
I am now about to start work on the model. The wingspan is 80 inches and the construction seems to be the same as the Lancaster, it is probably to about the same scale. I shall be fitting two .70 four stroke engines, the cut outs in the cowls appear to have been made for engines of this size. The engine and undercarriage mounting areas seem a little flimsy so I shall strengthen these. The model has flaps but only outboard of the engines, whereas on the real Mosquito the flaps were actually inboard of the engines as well. I shall probably modify my wing accordingly.
I shall put some photos on here is anyone is interested.

Ok here we are then...these pictures show the aircraft assembled and also some of the internal structure.
Most of the weight is in the wing, the fuselage is very light. The moulded skin doesn't feel particularly strong but the fuselage is fairly stiff along its length and doesn't twist or bend any more than a balsa one would. The engine nacelles and cowls are fibreglass, and can be removed from the wing centre section which will make them easier to work on.
The colour scheme has been very quickly applied but I will hopefull improve on that once the structural work is completed.
