I'm not 100% happy with the body cut and decals that I found very difficult to work with. The paint is a metallic red that didn't show very well on the pictures but it's much better in real.
I did the basic mods (bb, 120k diff, brake pad, reverse steering) and it is really easy to drive inside. Now I can wait to test it in the real world !

Looks pretty good to me.. but yeah, metallic paint usually show up better in person.. maybe a pic under the sun will show the metallic particals better!

I will be trying mine with a Mamba Max with the stock motor or 3S shortly, I just need some connectors and fix a few drivetrain issues.

Got the disc brakes done today, really straight forward, but doesn't seems to work that well, on the Making Trax site, those pads or something will improve the brakes right?
(Sorry about the pictures, camera was dropped on the floor before which now makes pictures a bit bad quality. It's starting to make me mad. [:@][:@])

I uses the wrong locknuts at the brakes, so I had to take everything apart today. [:@]
I never looked carefully with the instructions, but at the next part of the build I will be ready. Pictures tomorrow.

RE: LB Getting Ready for SNOW - Kyosho EP Blizzard DF-300 Thread!
First outdoor run today.
Good speed with the current 19t pinion, I will try a 21t or 23t soon. I was able to take some small jumps and I'm really surprised by how it can be fun like it is.
The run ended too soon because of an unglued velcro that made the cab rubbing against the track. Things I have to change/check for the next run :
- loosen the brake a little (course is too short)
- change current velcro for some industrial kind
- change pinion gear.
I will also try to take some pictures.
So far I'm very pleased with this truck.

No need to mess around with 21 or 23t. I'm running a 4600kv with 27t and it's still has tons of torque. Internal ratio is 5.633. Stock gearing is 25.5 :1.

Couple of pics from yest. Temp was 12 deg F. 18" of super dry powder. Snow is actually too soft and the front wants to dig in. Running a sidewinder / 4600 & 7 cell 5000. It is a rocket on ground where I plowed. Be nice to lighten the front in this super dry powder tho.

Got the tune pipe attached to the engine and the QRC unit was already assemble from the factory, so got that attached on the chassis easily. That's it for tonight. Will get the engine on the chassis soon...
Again sorry for the pictures, this camera is really getting on me. [:@]

Trivia for you. 6 cell 4200 nimh = 15.8 oz. 7 cell 5000 = 1lb 1.9 oz. My total wt including the 6 cell, sidewinder / 4600, Spektrum 3000, all lights & 9 volt dry cell, full bearings, Cen 144 oz servo, and radio box = 5 lbs 3.7 oz. Also, after running it last year, all rubber shielded bearings are as free as new and the diff with 100k losi fluid is not leaking at all.

Snow cats are definitely not for speed. They are built to go anywhere in very soft ground conditions. Real snow cats are lucky to go 15mph downhill.
I could never get my RC trucks to work very well in snow. If the snow was old and had thawed and froze the truck would stay on top enough to have fun. Otherwise the rear tires would just dig straight down into the snow and the truck would not go anywhere.

My monster trucks would work okay up to maybe 5-6" of snow...
After that, it is all Blizzard..

I put the Bliz on the laptop and took out some brake. Helped alot from nosing in off throttle. Also got some new snow with a bit of moisture in it. Much more fun now. It's running super good. I think the CC 4600 is working out just about perfect for a Bliz.

Does anyone know if the Turborix 2.4GHz 6 channel radio left stick can be made self centering ?
Perhaps by moving springs from the right stick ? (AFAIK that seems to be the a common solution).
The radio is about 42 USD

No idea.. but if I have to guess, it should be able to. I don't see a reason for the manufactuer to design 2 different gimbal systems for the left and the right control sticks..
