Hi Ippie,

Jtspin is correct.

You also need to enable the IRQ under the device manager. The IRQ is disabled by default.

Ar, OK.
Let me do that when I get home tonight.
I would remove the exsiting setting and add it again with your instruction!

Million thx.
Hope it will be working as I had crashed mine last night...

Krisma,

Do you hear the "BZZZZZZZZZZZ" that changes when it's in Debug mode under PPJOY ?
(Click options, then DEBUG).

If not, then you're not getting the interrupt.

1. Set interrupt in BIOS.
2. Set Interrupt as Assigned in Device Manager.
3. Manually set interrupt IRQ in Configuration under Device Manager.

i hear a bzzz, but it seems like it's from transmission interference from the controller. when I unscrew the antenna the hmmm/bbbzzzzz goes away.

what about on yours?

Hi Krisma,

You have to put PPJOY in DEBUG MODE first.

BTW, remove the XTAL from the transmitter. It will reduce the battery load by disabling the Transmission.

If you can't get PPJOY to work in DEBUG MODE, then you've most likely set up the parallel port on your computer incorrectly.

Heh I just did this for a friend a few days ago.

The pins are as marked in the photo earlier in this thread.

If you want to use FMS, then use PPJOY to convert. Same circuit as above.

Once you do this, the control sequence under FMS is 4,2,3,1 with 2,3 and 1 inverted.

David.

Hey guys!

I have got some functions of the movements work.
But only tail left, left and up.
What exactly the sequence I need to put here?
I have tried to put as what David had mentioned.
But there's 8 spaces not only 4...

Please help...

Hi David,

I have done it and the "BZZZ" has gone!

There is supposed to be a buzz. You don't need to "check" the Playstation debug mode. It sounds like your cable may not be any good. Recheck that you have everything connected to the correct pins.

Has anyone been able to get this to work in G2? I have it working great in FMS, but in G2 I only get 3 of the 4 axes to work (the left/right motion of the right joystick does nothing). Everything works in FMS and in the Control Panel game controllers setup/calibrate.

Jaskel,
Did you have to change any of the Mappings/Timings from the PPjoy setup?

Krisma,
Ippie was speaking of the buzz that's caused by RF interference of the TX. I had to remove my antenna to completely get rid of that. You'll get a buzz/clicking from you PC speaker (not your sound card speakers) when the cable is working properly and you have the "Debug PPM RC interface" checked. It's really annoying! I've noticed that sometimes my controller will stop working (like if I let FMS sit for a while) and the only thing that seems to get it to start working again is to reboot.

I've attached a screenshot of my FMS settings that work for me.

Good luck!

Actually, I had tried the sequence as shown, 4-2-3-1-4-2Inv-3Inv-1Inv.
But I get the full bars on the Channels Bars 1 to 4 when doing the calibrations.
I follow the instruction as turn the sticks in circles for several times.
Have I missed or set something wrong?

With the setting I'm having, the heli can be lift, lower, slide to left and rotate left only.
Just half of the functions are working.

But it's good to know it had some respond last night.

Still looking forward to get it work 100%!

After mucking around with the settings.....
Since I'm not really good in Chinese as what the PC at home is...
Da da!
It's working perfectly!
I just needed to set the setting for the TX at the contral panel!

Let me get some flying hour with the FMS first!

Thx everyone!!!

finally got my puter to recognize the cable. had to resolder a new transistor and swap the legs around on it. I also had an old 12v 1amp adapter that I used to power the tx.

However, having major issues with channels I think. only one axis is functioning properly.

input appreciated.

Will this work with G3? And if so does it need PPjoy or will it work without PPjoy in G3? Thanks

encore,

my initial tests were in G3 with ppjoy, it required switching several dips to respond properly but I never had the time to finish getting the right configuration. I believe it is possible if you tinker enough

Is the 10k resistor inline required? I read somehwere that the Tx already has this so its not necessary

i never worked enough on the setup to know if the plt/pzt function as they should, but I can say that during tx calibration the plt and pzt did give a signal on two channels. channel setup was key though. I really seems like the 36 tx is the same as the 22e tx i used.

as far as the 10k I put it in mine and as I said I did get a response
