Default Canopy Repair

The hatch and canopy for my Little Edge flew off the work table during a wind gust yesterday. A piece of the plastic about 1 1/2" X 1/2" chipped off the rear where the plastic overlaps the turtledeck. I have the chipped off piece and the damage is repairable, but am not sure what the best glue to use would be. Can anyone help? Thanks.....

You can order another one from WH if the plane is still new, they are only a few bucks.......But as far as repairing it to where it is hardly noticable, impossible unless you smoke tint the canopy after the repair and it's still no gaurentee that you won;t see it. I'm sure you already know that CA will fog the plastic, so maybe try a glue that is a little less potent. Sorry but I don't think there is an easy rout to take with this one.
GOOD LUCK!!!
Post you fix when you finish.

Shogunmst,
Thanks for contributing, but the repair is completed. A little bit of RC 56 canopy glue carefully applied worked quite well. After the initial repair cured I double checked both sides of the crack and filled any gaps. When completely dry a 1/2" wide strip of vinyl left over from my graphics package carefully placed across the rear of the the canopy over the top of the repair did the trick. Unless you knew it was there and were specifically looking for it, the finished repair is not noticable.
