The 110 wouldn't fit cleanly under the cowl.
Did you replace the flywheel with a solid state ignition? I have had two G-62s with the C&H Ignition module conversion, what a great combo. So much easier to start, lighter, looks better and seemed more powerful.
Good luck! Enjoy!

I will try to post a picture, the fly wheel is mostly gone in the conversion to electronic. Ralph (RCIGN1) does some beautiful work, It now weighs with ignition 4lbs

After flying the prototype with the G-62 my comment to Tom was that he had found a perfect home for the G-62. There aren't many/any composite planes in that size. The plane balanced fine, there was plenty of power for anthing I wanted to do, the weight was fine - really no downside. After flying the overpowered Sukhoi I have, I would gladly put a G-62 back in if I had one as it's all the engine needed to really wring the plane out.

I picked up two of these engines last summer for $650.00 & been trying to find a use for the one I have left ever since. If it would recover from a hover gone bad without making me need to change my shorts, I could probably live with that. Like I implied, I like good power but it doesn't have to be insane. I know the 3W will be similar to your ZDZ 80 & you are right, that is insane.

Mine is getting Hitec 5925, my servo of choice for 30% & under acrobats. I sold the G62 at a swap meet last week so I guess the engine choice has been made as well, 3W it is.

Yeah, it's too bad. I put a lot of development time and money into that plane.
They quoted me a low price initially then they started raising the price incrementally. BY the time the first sample was done the price had gone over double the initial estimate.
I had planned to sell that plane for $699 which I thought would sell a bunch, but that would have been a losing proposition with the final price.
Maybe I'll have it redesigned in wood.

Generally do the factories have the right to do that - or could this be similar to the Chris Hinson/Extreme Flight vs. Sammy Lee Yak design custody battle that erupted a few years ago?

Tom - if you helped develop /tweak the plane, then you might want to look at whoever your builder was (Xtreme?) - cause it looks like your Su29 is now being sold under the BVM name.

In my case we (Wild Hare and Extreme composites) jointly developed the 87" Sukhoi, I paid for half the development costs and did most of the testing. I trusted Xtreme to hold the price to the quoted amount and got shafted as a result.
But since I am not buying the plane any more he has the right to sell that one to BVM per terms of our agreement.
I have no idea what kind of deal the other guys you mention may have put together.
