I mounted mine as per the instructions. Mounted the cowl, measured the distance from the center of the face of the cowl to the center of firewall. Added 7/64" and mounted the engine to the mount with those measurements. Then removed the cowl, set the engine and mount on the firewall and remounted the cowl. Then I centered the prop shaft in the center of the opening. Carefully removed the cowl and marked the location of the engine mount and started some pilot holes. Mounted up real nice. I wouldn't worry about the hole in the firewall, just follow the instructions. The hole in the firewall may not line up with the hole in the cowl.

well I'm using a different motor, it's a Super Tartan 22cc glow motor, it has a big round mount on the back of it I wont be using,,, if I knew where the prop shaft was aligned on the motor wall I could just use the motor mount as a template and drill the motor mounting holes..
see Super Tartan motors here,,,

James,
The Edge is looking awful good! Can't wait to get out and see how it flies. Good news, we are getting a good tax return. I think there will be enough left over after setting aside the family vacation fund for a WH! I would really like a 50 cc gas plane. Currently I am drooling over the Yak and Cap 232.

Karl-
It is coming together. Just need to run the antenna and finish up the pull-pull on the rudder. If the weather is nice one of these weekends, I'll be taking it out to the field for it's maiden.
