Just following and waiting on the vid.
Great looking family. Are the kids flying yet?

They all can fly thanks to to simulators, but my oldest son actually learned to hover and torque roll on the sim and when I gave him the sticks to my foamy he immediately did the same. Interested though, I think not. Basketball and video games rule there lives.

Mike:

It looks like the plane is all together, can you send me any photos of the completed plane for use on the web site?

Have you flown it? It looks like some of those pics were taken at the flying field.

Hey guys what are you using for the rudder servo. the hole looks pretty big for a standard size servo. looks like a hitec 5735 will fit in there.

Tom I didn't fly it yet, still need to finish up a few things. I always tend to build my planes out of sequence.

I will have it up by this thursday though for sure. I will then have a video to go with it as well being that I know have a digital cam in my possesion.

It does feel lighter than my edge and with a little more wing area I'm hoping that it will 3D very well.

I'm using a Hitec HS5955TG on the rudder. Super powerfull and quick. Much simpler than ganging servos.

Aileron servos going in now. Notice I have just a paper widths clearence between the wing struts and the servo arms.

FWIW, those arms are 1.5" SWB's I used them because those where what I had on hand.

RE: Wildhare Ultimate Build Thread

Ken, be careful about the ailerons on the first flight. They are really powerful and if you have too much travel it will be a handful.

If you have triple rates available set the lowest rate really really low and real soft, just in case.

With as much travel as you have at high rates rolls will be a blur.

On the main gear I had to do the following:
1. Enlarge the hole in the landing gear strut to accomidate the axle that was supplied in the hardware kit.
2. Shorten the axle to fit inside the wheel pant.
3. Enlarge the tire hole in the wheel pant for the supplied 3.5" wheel and tire.

On the tail wheel assy I soldered the spring wire so it would hold. CAUTION this wire is VERY heat sensitive. Go easy on the heat if you solder the wire.

Sorry it took so long to get back to the build but this last week was to hectic with the In-laws here. SAL, thanks for filling in some.

Who knows I might get mine in the air Thursday too. :)

Tom, I always use Triple rates. I also dial in Expo accordingly. Thanks for the Heads up.

Ken or sal are you guy's mounting the throttle servo in the tray next to the rudder servo??

Is that what it take's to get it to balance with the 50's ?

Thanks guys your helping me a ton.:D

Dennis,

I put my throttle and choke servos in the tray next to where I am planning on puting my rudder servo.

I will be balancing the plane tomorrow I think.

Tom, It would be nice if the servo tray could be flipped over. Meaning having the throttle and choke servos on the other side. Make it like the other tray. Leave it up to the customer.

RE: Wildhare Ultimate Build Thread

Ken it looks great. Everything you did to the wheel pant was also done to mine accordingly. Drilled, Cut and shortened.

Pants are much smaller than the edge and the finish job on them wasn't that great but being white covers up a lot.

I have my servos in the tray next to the the rudder and there is another tray that fits on top of this one that holds the receiver and batts.

Pretty straight forward if you have put together larger scaled arfs before. If not, get as much info as you can especially with surface geometry and setup. I believe this can be the most important things in the way an aerobatic model fly's.
