Hey, I just wanted to know if anyone out there has had the same experience that I am having. I sent my YS .63 back to the service dept. almost TWO months ago. I then went on vacation thinking that when I came home I would again have a great engine that ran the way that it should. Well, unfortunately after a month and a half vacation it still hadn't come back. I was even more surprised when I called the dept. and he told me it was still sitting there on the bench! Well, it has now been almost 2 months since I have seen my engine and I am running out of summer-time before school starts! I really hope that I can get some fly-time before then!! Who knows?, it might not even run right this time, I don't know if I can spare another 2 months without an engine!
Maybe I just needed to vent a little bit but I really want to hear what your experience has been with the YS service dept.

Did you bother to call and ask where your engine was? The service dept. is current on repairs, meaning that they have no backlog, and they haven't had a backlog of more than a week this whole summer.

Ditto for me on the 10 days (this summer). They actually called me to tell me what they found. I almost fell off of my chair when I realized it was YS service that called.

I don't mean to make anyone upset. Yes, I did call and ask where it was. I 2nd day aired it to them and then called the day that it should have arrived. He told me that it was there and he had already serviced it but hadn't run it yet. I was very surprised that he had already done all of this.
I really expected to get it back before I left on vacation. I called again after my vacation and he told me it was still sitting there in the shop. On august 27th it will have been gone for two months.
Thanks for all of the replies, I'm glad to hear that this is probably not typical of the dept.

If they are expecting a credit card or money for payment, it is likely still sitting there waiting for you to call. The service dept. will be unable to ship anything for a couple of weeks beginning 8/23, so you had better get this resolved with them today.

They are not expecting payment. I have already called a couple of times since I returned. The first time he told me that it was still there, and the second time he told me that it was shipped. He didn't say when, only that it had shipped.
