Default YS 110 loading up in air

Due to the undersight of the Thundertiger Team when building the Rare Bear, I've only logged 4 flights with my 110, but I'm still having troubles with it.

Last flight out I used a MA 14x7 three blade, with Byron 20/20 YS fuel. The motor ran perfect on the ground taching about 9800rpm, but once I get it in the air it slowly loads up and dies. The plane weighs about 11lbs dry, and once I get her legs stuffed back under her, I'd like to try again.

thanks,

DT

Loads up at full throttle? How far open is the HS needle?

The needle is just slightly more than 1 1/2 turns out. But it ran great on the ground with no loading, and it's beginning to idle real nice and also has a good transition after 1 gallon of fuel.

thanks.

Are you sure it's loading up and not going over the top lean?

Honestly, I probably wouldn't know the difference. I just know it runs like a bat outta hell on the ground, but slowly sounds like it loads up in the air - takes a few minutes.

Once i get my gear fixed so I can make a few passes, land, adjust, and go again, I'll have a better chance at solving the problem. I just thought there might be something obvious I was doing wrong.
