Troy,
I bought yesterday an 110FZ engine, to mount on a Funtana x100 and I have some questions.
1) The page with the setup instructions of the 110 fz (www.ysperformance.com) is no longer accessible, and the new page (www.yspartsandservice.com), doesn't have those instructions. Where can I find them?
2) You say to break in the engine rich. Rich in idle, mid range or full throttle? How many should the RPMs be during break in period?
3) You have said many times to check the valve setting at 0.003"=0.0762mm. How am I going to measure 0.08mm? To adjust them I have to follow the "tappet clearance adjustment", after removing the valve cover, as written in the manual?
4) Due to the high pressure developed in the system, do I have to secure the plumbing with "something"? If yes what?
Can I use a remote fueling valve? Or it won't stand the pressure?
Do you happen to know if the fuel tank provided with the funtanax100 is strong enough?
Thank you very much for your time.

Answer: The old website does NOT exist. The new website does NOT have these specific instructions on them. Here is what I can give you now.

There is currently no place to find the instructions you are talking about. My suggestion is to go to the link below he has very good advice on the YS engines.

2) You say to break in the engine rich. Rich in idle, mid range or full throttle? How many should the RPMs be during break in period?
Answer: Rich is Rich, I can't give you specific RPMS to meet to make the engine happy. It will all depend on the fuel, prop and you specific situation. So many things will affect the RPM and engine performance. Temperature, humidity, you elevation above sea level, fuel choice, too many variables to give you RPM numbers. Follow the advice in the link above.
3) You have said many times to check the valve setting at 0.003"=0.0762mm. How am I going to measure 0.08mm? To adjust them I have to follow the "tappet clearance adjustment", after removing the valve cover, as written in the manual?
Answer: one way is to use Feeler gauges or shim stock. The metric numbers are between 0.04mm and 0.1mm Find some metal material that is 0.04mm and some that is 0.1mm. Then you slide the shim material between the valve and the tappet to see how big the gap is. 0.1mm material should not be able to go between the valve and tappet and 0.04mm material should be able to pass between.

Answer: Fuel lines for plumbing should be fine without securing them. However DO NOT use fueling valves they will leak air. Especially under the pressure of the YS engines. Use the Probuild link as a reference on how others are setting up the engine. Also the instructions in the engine box will tell you too. If you don't have these instructions follow these from the USA.

I'm not sure if the stock fuel tank in the funtana X will work fine or not. I have never tried it on that tank. My opinion is it should. If you run the engine and notice the tank bulging or leaking then its not going to work.
