Thats just the cam popping past top dead center. It’s normal. Maybe someone can explain it better.

It's perfectly normal, it is the cam gear accelerating forward when the cam follower goes over the hump.

Hmm now you got me thinking what I have.

(2) 1.00 one being a GK, my First Saito
(1) .72
(1) .91
(1) 1.25
(1) .45
(1) FG-11

The .72 has the most time on it, sweet runner.

I saw a news report that Australia has cowtowed and destroyed the sanctity of marriage as we know it.

That's what castor oil does for ya. My 1st Saito, an FA-150 eventually had the exhaust lobe fail due to the vahve sticking on the seat.

This saito 100 has a lot of flight time and they are the first to come out.
With "A" stamped on the engine.
These sounds are not normal at all.
Now after cleaning, it sounds like it should.
The oil is synthetic and all oils have their limits, especially at high temperatures.

hah OS posted.

3 Magnum .91 and a few DLE along with a DA 100. Also 2 YS motors, so have nice selection of various brands, but still find I like Saito the most.

my other bragging rights list,,

1) NIB never started, HP 61 PDP, the Ring is scratched, so it needs a new Ring and to be re-honed,
2) OS Hyper 50 #1, still flying in the Rotary,
3) OS Hyper 50 #2, waiting quietly to be installed in a Word Model's 57" span P-40,, it should go rather nicely,
4) OS 61FX, about 7 gallons run threw it, LOL I think I know what's wrong with it, missing a gasket on the remote Needle,
5) never started OS 70SZ Heli Engine, awaiting a plane,
6) GP 40, very clean, unsure how much time on it, $50 shipped,
7) G Mark .061, Bench Run only, seen them sell for $90, I would like to keep it but would sell it for $60 shipped,
8) MVVS 35cc Gasser, with the Inverted Side muffler this engine is a monster in the world of 35cc Gasser engines, turns a 3W 20X8 at 7,450 Peaked, and a Zinger 20X8 at 7,800 Peaked,,
9) never started Super Tartan 22cc (Glow) W/mount and new J-Tech muffler,, you can buy it for $120 shipped,,
10)NIB Super Tatan 44cc Twin (Glow), with DLE Reed Valves, awaiting to be installed in my yellow PA 80" span GeeBee Y,,

parts engines
11) OS 50 SX Heli engine,,,
12) Magnum 180 4St, a complete Parts Engine, sell this one for $50 shipped,,, Plug threads striped, Liner/Piston scored, Bearings/Crank/Valves and Rod in very good shape, this engine I bought so I could use it's Head on my other Engine, and that one was sold,, parts can be bought from Just Engines,, my Engine turned an APC 17X8 W at 8,850 on 20%, and a Xoar 17X6 at 8,650, and a Xoar 17X8 at 8,250,,,sell this one for $50 shipped,

oops, forgot #13, an Italian Super Tiger 91 with a big S on it, no Muffler, no Carb, it needs to be rebuilt,, it was given to me, I would like too rebuild it,, but,, it's a heavy engine and I don't think I will ever have a plane for ALL my engines,,, I would have to ask the guy that gave it to me if he would mind if I sold it..

wow, I have more engines than I thought !!

I just ran the 100t for 45 minutes, first with a Xoar 15x6 then wit a Xoar 14x7, I don't have a 13x8

Saito 1.00-T
Plugs=OS-f
Fuel=Wildcat 10% with 18% full synthetic
Prop=Xoar 15x6
Max rpm=8,000 rpm
Idle=====1,950 as long as you want, right cylinder quits at 1,850
Prop=Xoar 14x7
Max rpm=8,800
Idle 1,950 2 minutes or more
The black pipes shown here are pretty loud but do very nice poit, poit, poit at idle.
The engine is silky smooth.

Okey dokey,i'll let you off this time...but that's my last offer i find out you bought a saito fa125,to give the mongrel it's full name,instead a saito fa115 i reckon even sr would be dissappointed.That reminds me.He's mighty proud of the saito fa180hc and whatever other letters he puts behind it,and rightly so,it might be a machining masterpiece but...it's higher strung and you know how many more frequent arguments metal parts can have when they are highly stressed like a beautiful italian woman if you like.So, i reckon a bog stock saito fa 220 zues on nitro with a dash of castor oil would give that 180hc a lazy hiding,what do you think? and please say so.Half the dudes here have run out of ideas and thats where OS and other inferior engine talk starts to creep in.

Now don't forget the 115 ok?

In July of 2008 I had a Saito 115 for a brief time, I still,have the picture of the grease that was in it. Also a picture of the 115 and the 125 mufflers. I was not impressed with the 115 and promptly sold it.

Saito 125, new one with the big jug
Fuel===Wildcat 10% full synthetic
Plug===Fox Miracle
Prop===MA 16x6 max rpm 9,025
Prop===Graupner 15x8 max rpm==8,885

Saito 115
Fuel same
Plug same
Graupner 15x8 Max rpm==8,500
APC 15x8 max rpm=====8,650

I don't know, it's one of those tweener, misfits. It will sit in the same footprint as an Saito .91 but that's no, advantage unless you're replacing one.

Yes sir, the hand is fine, the scars are very tender, I noticed yesterday that when the scars get cold they hurt. I ran the 100-t yesterday and the air blast made them hurt some.

More on the 125 and the 115 their total weight:
125===24.69 oz
115===23.49 oz

The tweeners are the FA-100 and FA-125.

FA-65-FA-115 fits the same footprint as a .60 2-stroke, the FA-120s FA-180 fits a .90 2-stroke footprint. The FA-100-FA125 are the misssfits.

The FA-100 makes less power than the FA-115 and the FA-125 does not significantly out perform the FA-115. FA-115 has the same bore and valves as the 125 and better volumetric efficiency.

Got a quick question: What would be the best 3-blade for the 56 and 65? Am in the middle of swapping out one of my last 2-strokes on a Seamaster and clearance is critical on this one.

Probably an 11x6 for the 56 and a 12x6 for the 65, that's what I would do anyway. I am about to try an 8x6 Graupner three blade on an FA Saito30 I found a place called Graupner USA the still has some of the Super Nylon props. The best prop ever made.
