Another 1st for me... Constructing Oil Filled shocks from parts. The Tamiya oil had leaked out into the baggie, but I still had more than enough to complete the 4 oil filled shocks. They came out very good in my opinion and feel very high-quality.

I've got an S-10, which is the same thing, just a different body, obviously, and it's a blast. I have beaten the crap out of it for a good 4 years now and it still goes no problem. I run a Trinity P2K2, full bearings, LRP Runner esc and an Epic 3000 in it and it hauls pretty good. Just be careful, the screws holding the rear tie rod to the hub can come loose, and if that comes out your dogbones and outdrive cup go flying. Just be sure to check them after every run. I've lost many a shaft and drive cup because i forgot to check! I'll attach a pic of my S-10 when it was new, it looks a little ragged now.. Good luck!

Man, that is absolutely sweet. I love the S-10... If it was still available, I would have gotten the S-10 rather than the F-150...
But alas, the body is the last priority.

Well, if you ever want to, you can still order the body and decals from Tower. So if your F-150 body ever ends up in shambles like my S-10 body is now, you have a new S-10 body waiting for it. I think I may order one, just so I can paint it new and sit it on my shelf when I am not using it.

Looks like it is the same design in terms of holding the battery in the chassis as my T-Egg.. let me know if you come up with a cool way to hold the new breed of bigger batteries...

Will do, I tried my longer stick packs yesturday night... It's not gonna take much to get them to fit. They are just a "Hair" too big.
Another note, I was suprised how much longer this took me to build than the lunch box. I worked about 5 hours on it yesturday... So we'll see how much longer it takes!

I just bought a copule sets of those Tamiya quick release battery holder (for the M and TL-01 chassis..) Will see if I can adapt it to work w/ my T-Egg.. will keep you posted.. I also look forward to see what solution you come up with!

Lunch I ran it with the D6 8x2 ITS CRAZY FAST Man. Has to be going around 45-50mph. I use tire coumpound on my rears, it still spins out though lol. i can get it up to speed though. The drive train has been holdin up. I will be putting my silver can back in soon, I miss my super long run times, but I really love the speed.

Just look up at Tower (or ask Hunter) to see how many of what size it needs.. then just buy them...
I always got spare bearings in my parts bin.. so when a new kit comes (unless it uses weird size bearing), I am covered..
Common bearing size for Tamiya.. 5x11.. 5x8.. and sometimes, 6x12 and 10x15.. (not as common)
