May I also add this, not to impune anyone on this thread, but I DO NOT consider these high speed guided missiles to be TOY'S as they can mame or easily kill a person. ANY RC pilot especially a turbine rated pilot should not be flying if they consider these to be toys. If so then get into another harmless hobby like stamp collecting.

The stabs on my V1 with removable rudder fit very well. Similar to the photo above. (purple one) above.

I got mine finished and ready to test fly. Mine came out heavier than I expected it to. I am weighing in at 30lb with main tank empty and UAT full. My CG came out ever so slightly nose heavy on the balance Jig that came with the plane. I'm hoping to fly it Thursday.

I got one flight on mine this weekend. I haven't weighed it but with no smoke in the tank and with nearly full fuel it is NOT a vertical missile with the 210. I would say it is not short on power by any means but I am glad I went with the 210. I did not test the TV and left the gear down as I always do on first flights. I learned the hard way a long time ago that the first landing on a plane with the gear up is more stressful. Not joking, I performed the best landing I have ever done. EVER! of course now video. Plane touched down nose high and you literally could not tell when the plane started rolling. It was crazy smooth. I set the bar way to high on the first landing.

I went back through the directions and it says to disassemble the fuel tank to check the connections and to clear the tank. I am guessing this just means make sure there is no debris in the tank. Is there anything special I am supposed to do other than that?

Awesome flying plane. Got my maiden in today. 3clicks of up trim and she flew on rails. The 140 is a little light on power most of the flight is done at 80-100% throttle. It flies well just doesn’t have any extra. Overall I give mine a 9/10. It will be a couple of weeks before I get to fly again. I’ll post some pictures when I get home tonight.

I have 3 more flights on my Predator. I am very pleased. I really like the way it flies and am impressed with the authority of the TV system. My 210 will not hover it. I didn't really expect it too but it is further from hovering even at the end of the tank than I expected. Talking with a few folks I am pretty convinced that some of this is because at full power and at or near static the engine is not getting enough air to breath properly. One guy has added some holes in the bottom and claims improved static thrust. I think I am going to do a simple test on the ground at full throttle and measure the thrust and then take off the top hatch to see the difference. Not an accurate thrust test but if there is a dramatic change in thrust then would indicate more air flow is needed.

Don't take this as a regret or big knock on the plane. It flies really really good. Flies on rails really. Then you throw in pinwheels, spins, and flips and it is quite fun. My goal is not to hover on the deck but would like to take advantage of the thrust available from the K210.

Not hovering on a 210? Got the same engine but not yet installed so I am interested to know your top open result. Will be at Nall next week so not working on it for now. LMK

It slowly backs down with near full fuel right now. It would just about hold toward the end of the flight. I have not weighed mine. but haven't added much and don't have much to take out anyway. I don't think even with the engine breathing and putting out its max thrust there will be much excess thrust anyway for bailing out of a hover if things get off. I honestly don't have a burning desire to hover a jet. I can hover my electrics and gassers. Once I get the smoke working I think the TV and smoke will make some great effects.

I guess I can always put a K-320 in it. Got TV just for the hovering reason.

I think if you want to hover and have good acceleration vertical for bail out a 260 would be appropriate.

I put 4 more good flights on mine yesterday. I am really enjoying it. 7 min flights and I still land with 1/4 tank. I will say that it could use just a touch more power than the 140 that I am running, I will be saving my pennies for a 160 or 180 class motor. All in all it is probably the best flying plane in my hangar.

Default 2.2m Predator Throws and crow settings.

What degrees did you guys set your control surfaces to include the flaps and trim adjustments with elevator and flaps.

Mine and my mates predator didn’t need any elevator trim with flap.. but we never had crow, you may need a little if you use crow

Mine needs a small amount of down elevator with flap. Mine lands slow enough that I didn’t bother with crow

I just finish my predator 2.2 took me 5 days to complete, very easy to put together. Take it to the field yesterday to do some highspeed taxi test before refuel to maiden the bird. What happen next...well watch the video.

My question is how many guys using this new style wing clamp system without any problem?

I have about 10 flights on mine with the stock clamping wing hold on. That is scary. I have the thrust vectoring and fly it fairly aggressive. I have had no issue.

WFH Ok 10 flights.. I'm not sure if my clamp is too big but I can't tighten the wing bolts without stripping the treads off or bbreaking the bolt head so I need to look into plan B. Thanks for responding.

What's up Chic man see what almost happen to this brand new bird?...almost cartwheel it smh.
