RE: pattern plane with flying stab

Thanks. I'm doing the flying stab.
I am going into seizures, trying to build the thing right (in my head), before I put it onto the airplane.
I've made a few test configuration sections, and...

RE: pattern plane with flying stab

Hi Everyone again.
I have resumed building my Conquest VI, and have thought about incorporating a stabilator, rather than elevators, and cannot think of too many reasons to not do it. I could...

RE: .020 Propellers, APC has BIG Hole...

Well cool, good idea to ask APC.
Also, for some reason, I don't know what WRT means. Oh, it just hit me-"with regard to". I was beginning to think it was some technical process used in the...

RE: .020 Propellers, APC has BIG Hole...

Looks like you HAVE come up against this before. Sounds like I'm in the same boat. Let's keep trying. Thanks, Gus.

.020 Propellers, APC has BIG Hole...

Hi All, I'm back!
How are you guys finding ways to mount the (only props available) APC props to an .020 Pee Wee engine?

I'm finishing a little project, and found that only APC has a prop for...

RE: Park flyer frequencies

Pete913,
I think you and I are on the same page with this issue. Except for the FFTypehard that is mucking up the works here, there are two distinct problems:
The park flyers are ignorant to...

RE: To All AMA Whiners, Cryers and Complainers

Okay, this is what I thought might happen. I wasn't trying to provoke anyone- I just think that the AMA is there for US, not for the AMA to be for the AMA and have power over it's members, See? WE...

RE: Any news from Hanno Prettner ?

Hanno Prettner. He and the Curare are on the cover of the 1st model magazine I purchased: MAN, Dec. 1976. Beautiful picture! That started me on the journey to be the best that I could be in model...

RE: Pilot Boxes

Most of the fields here have a pilot box defined. People use them.
What infuriates me the most is: People who start their plane in the pits, and then TAXI it from the pits to the runway!
That's...

RE: IMAA to petition AMA re: big bird events

WOOHOO! Finally, this is getting the attention it deserves!
I have always hated that our club's jumbo fun fly was also an IMAA event, as well as being an AMA sanctioned event. Who cares about the...

RE: all this BS

Okay, this ifixairplanes guy really must be a dolt.
To be an A&P, one must be able to "read, write, and understand the English language." It is a F.A.R. His posts are sub-par in text. I would make...

RE: all this BS

So, you're 19 years old, huh? You don't remember when there were only 8 frequencies to use for airplanes, cars and boats. (HAM not included)

You don't know what the modelling world was like...

RE: Help on Kamdax

HenryV, Seems as though no one is familiar with you set-up, or they would have answered you. I am not new to 1/2A, but I don't know about that one. Good luck with your search, Gus.

RE: how hard is it to build a kit

E-fan,
One does not build an ARF, it is assembled.
The most amazing things happen when you build a kit: You learn why certain materials are used in different areas of the airframe, you can...

RE: Ultra Hots question on building turtledeck

Rick,
Here is a picture of how my brother's turned out. This was before the glass parts were installed. That's my daughter, about 4 years old. Now she is 19. Wow, was it that long ago? Glad to be...

RE: Ultra Hots question on building turtledeck

Hey Rick...
This is the 90+ inch wingspan version, right? Well, I helped my brother build one a while back. Let me dig out the plans (from M.A.N.) and see if I can help.
I'll check back here in...

RE: OOPS, I Bought an ARF!

Here's how its going:
I test ran my G-Mark .061 yesterday. It really seems to work well with a Tornado 5 1/2-3 prop on it. Throttle response is adequate. Fast down to medium-slow. Should work okay...

OOPS, I Bought an ARF!

I had a gift certificate from a hobby shop burning a hole in my pocket since Christmas, and yesterday was the first chance I had to go shopping. I think ARFs are the scourge of the hobby, but I ended...

I named my first born son after two airplanes, a couple of my favorites:
The B-25 bomber, and the Ryan. Wife would have protested severely had she known they were airplanes. I finally mentioned to...

RE: HELP! Does anybody know this plane (Sportster40)?

It sure looks like a Great Planes Super Sportster. From what I can tell, it is a nice job, too. Good luck with it!
