I used the Hobby King carbon gear, see picturePost 541 Page 22. Great and better then Graph Tech gears that I have had before. The wheelpants are precission Aerobatics.

I agree with Pete,
Keep it light! The HP40 is light 11oz with muffler (I love those engines and the sound thru the hollow muffler, had my first in Sweden 35 years ago.)

I have finally found an airframe that fits my old HP 40s. I have installed a rear induction engine to the reinforced motor box. A tetra 5 1/2 oz Bubbleless fueltank.

What a day, brought out the Escapade, Way fast with the Jett .76.
Here is a couple of pictures in the air.
25 clicks of down trimmed the flapperons perfectly. A charm to land with or without flaps.

Ready for maiden tomorrow, Did run the engine today. I got 12.600 with an Vox 13 x 6.5, my Jett .76 engine should move the Escapade swiftly. Cowl will come later.

I am running the Blue Jett muffler (Evolution) on my O.S. 55AX and it runs great with a 10x7 APC turning 15K+, I bet it will work great in the Jackal.
I have a NovaRossi 57 in my Jackal.

I think you will be suprised in what an OS 55 can do, If you keep it light I think it will perform great.

Yeah, Running it sideways in the cowl would look better! But this is a sportsplane so I will stick with the ease of having it straight up.

I got mine done and it balanced right away, could not belive it. 8lb 2oz with a Jett 76 engine. Nothing can stop me from flying tomorrow!

Do remember that an Escapade 61 with the OS .55AX would be a lot lighter then the OS .95AX. Not just the engine, other parts could follow suite as Tank, Servos, Battery can be smaller and lighter. I...
