Steve, to find the Cg of any A/C it is 25% of the mean aerodynamic cord. Mean aerodynamic cord is the average cord from the wing tip to the root.

If you have several thousand dollard to spare you could put strain guages with instrumentation on all the areas in question as we did in the ! to ! scale a/c flight test world.

The arrow was a marking used to designate which carrier the A/C was assigned to. I don't remember which ship used the arrow, but at one time the Yorktown used RR.

Balance it about 25% of the M.A.C. and you will be ok. If the wing is not tapered and is a rectangle in plan form just balance it 25% of the cord and you will be Ok.

Thinks for the input Xtraflyer. I am having the same problems, having to engineer things as I go along and a lot by trial and error since the manual is like a Chinese fire drill. Maybe we can get it...
