Gorilla glue (like any polyurethane glue) expands as it cures. This forces the glue into the porous materials in the layup. This helps to prevent voids.I use polyurethane glues in all of my foam...

I bought a refured version from Amazon.com for $109.
The compression is wicked.

If anyone has a lead on prop adapters let me know.
I'm going to set mine up as gas / glow.

Have you tried fitting one of the Mac25 cylinders to the BME case? I tried fitting a cylinder to a case and found that the mounting lugs line up after rotating the cylinder a few degrees....

I think what you've pictured is a belt driven reduction unit. Byron used to make a similar unit to obtain realistic prop size / speed for warbird applications (P51 notably).
