I had a TF 182 with the stock tank setup (sideways). Never had a problem. I am currently flying their T-34 with the same setup. No problems.

Agree with using scales. There are plenty of spreadsheets available to plug your numbers into to determine your CG. You will also get the added bonus of knowing what your aircraft weighs.

Here is a picture of my Black Horse Harmon Rocket. Power is a DLE 20 swinging an 17/6 APC. Radio is a DX8 with Hitec 625mg servos. Weight is 11.5 lbs.
